no idea if its been said, but this is the best mod on the workshop because you can say "skarbrand in the jungle - start position change" to the tune of welcome to the jungle of guns n roses and its perfect

its also a rly neat alternate place for skarbrand to be, so thats great too :D

@No Name, This still works 100%, as do all of the mods in my collection, I just update them to demonstrate that they're still maintained.

This moves him to the Southlands jungle though to square off against Kroq-Gar. It's very fun but not near Epidemius unfortunately.

Does this still work? I would love to use it with your new Epidemius mod and try an Epidemius campaign with Skarbrand as an early threat.

@Echo AI Skarbrand much like the other AI Chaos factions is relatively braindead. Anyone not using "Unnatural Selection" shouldn't ever expect to see anything other then the same factions doing the same thing regardless of their start position

Yeah, that's fair. I like the interesting factions to survive until the end game and it's too often that only order factions manage to do so, thanks to alliance blocks and confederations.

It's worth noting as well that I did test a bunch of auto-run campaigns with this mod and while I never saw him thrive, I at least saw him survive into the late game a few times, serving as a good distraction for the order factions.

@Echo, AI Skarbrand getting defeated eventually doesn't really counteract this mod's purpose, which was to move him to a more narratively interesting spot and change the relationship dynamics between the factions in that area - I personally didn't like how he dominated the Badlands instead of orcs or tomb kings.

If you want him to consistently survive then you could try to increase his potential with something like Unnatural Selection. I didn't add potential changes like that because I didn't want to introduce potential compatibility conflicts.

Played a couple of campaigns with this start change. The AI Skarbrand is doing even worse than in the Badlands start. He's ganged up on by Thorek, Khalida and Kroq'gar as well as minor factions like the TKs around.
Unless there's a shift in those other factions' start positions, I don't think this a good idea.

It's probably just because auto resolve really likes armor.

I was about to give up on this game entirely after hundreds of hours because how CA have placed their factions on the map. It was sadly not so random any more, 'good' factions always seemed to come on top, old powerful factions was just stomped by new ones. Not the WH I remembered. Then I came across your mod series and it completely revitalised my experience.

This mod here made it much more interesting down south as Ironbrow Expedition always expanded and won-out early. They still do now too, but it is harder. Not sure what makes it so easy for Ironbrown down there in general but they are having a much easier time than all other dwarves for sure.

Great mod and mod series. I can not play without them. Feel free to keep'em coming, and if you find a way to make Ironbrow Expedition more challenging then even better. :-) Have a great one!

@TheForbiddenCornBread, sorry, yeah if you want to use the original True World, everything but Skarbrand and Malus should be fine.

Well yeah, I know you made the light version but that version only has like 5 character start changes. I like the full loreful start position changes from the original mod (and the version you updated) so i'm going to stick to that. But from what I've seen from other responses you have said to other people in the separate mods, the Karak Eight Peaks and Ms. Stank mod should be fine to run with the "updated True World" mod. I'm not sure about Mr. Jade but it should be fine. The only one that doesn't seem compatible is this one and the Malus one because in the True World mod, both of those characters already got start position changes, which could cause conflicts.

I'm just asking to make sure my theory is correct.

It technically would be easier if you added your changes into your updated version so we didn't have to download several additional mods for the same mod, but you already said that you weren't going to do that so i'm not going to nag you about it.

I'm going to assume this mod is not compatible with the "True World" mod you updated because that mod also moves Skarbrand? But Karak Eight Peaks, Mr. Jade boy, and Madam Stank should be fine right?

@DanComyn, I fixed it by updating the Ostankya mod, thanks for letting me know. Replenishing the Bleak Hold Fortress garrison broke the Skarbrand mod for some flipping reason. I'm going to try to understand why this fix was necessary.

@Cold, Yeah that's a good point about Hellebron. I mostly wanted to move Lokhir because his AI always ends up conquering all of Cathay, which bugs the hell out of me. But I'll reconsider.

Cuz he have his quest to get hag graef back if he want to and i hate his start in chaos waste we already have 2 lord here, and we have no Lord for BE in this area, and it could be cool to have one in the eastern colonie.
