Are there any errors in console? Besides some other addon interfering with how explosive damage is handled, I can't really think of anything.
If what Spy Ghost said is true then it's the Source engine being weird again, though I have no idea why particle replacements would have any effect on this addon.
I dont exactly know how something like this would work, and i'm only suggesting it since well, a combine character with a grenade on their belt isn't always going to fit and i'm sure you have plenty more important things to do than just add patches, so if a model blacklist option works, that'd cool
took me like 15 attempts to nail it lol
Yeah, it seems the models do not have specific hitgroups for the chest and stomach region. I'll add in a work around to ensure functionality.
Have you tried setting the drop chance to 100%? If it still does not work it's possible that what Destruction said is true (the model lacks proper hitgroups.)
If you are using addons that change the models of combine (or replace them completely) I could look into what exactly the problem is.
I can also add in a workaround that allows grenade dropping regardless of hitboxes.
i have a little suggestion, maybe it could be a different addon, but its still have to do with grenades,
would it be possible to make the thrown grenade (primary fire) to damage npcs by just hitting them (like prop damage before the grenade detonates naturally or manually by the player) ?
Instead of forcing an NPC to never drop a grenade again, it could have a chance deducted; for example, you could set it to start at 100%, but go down to 80% after one grenade, 60% after the next, etc.
