I did what you said without unsubcribing-subscribing and it works, but settings is now fully black. Does CCSE have logs or something like it

Issues like this are frustrating because I don't encounter them on my end, makes debugging a travesty. I do recommend disabling Shimmer Pop, relaunching CC with it disabled, deleting the custom mod data for SP, unsubscribing, then resubscribing to SP. I've no idea if it'll help, but it's worth a shot I suppose.

Mods just stop working. Right after enabling mods all works fine, but after restarting the game fully or adding other mods(like more heavenly upgrades), libro libre menu don't appear and its functions don't work, framerate is 30, other mods enabled don't work too, but SP works.

If you could be more descriptive of "doesn't work with", that'd help. I installed both of the mods you mentioned and they're working fine with both Simmer Pop, and my in-dev cheat mod, which uses much of the same code at this. What's happening on your end?

I removed the cheats functionality because it operated slightly differently from the base utility functions of the mod. I'll have a second, additional mod out in a few days which returns the cheat menu.

the last couple days the ''spawn gold cookie'' function just disappeared for me, did I disable it somehow or was that intended?

You're correct, it does seem to be behaving weirdly now for some reason. I'll take a look at the code soon.

I'm not sure if I have something set wrong, but shimmer pop never seems to assign the pantheon, despite me having them set in the options.

Wonderful! I dislike that it removes some of the polish I took the time to figure out and implement, but if it improves compatibility, it's a worthwhile trade-off. :steamhappy:

I've pushed a minor update that addressed some things, hopefully it helps with mod incompatibility. I've still yet to run into issues myself, sorry. I added some features which makes some additional mods redundant: Toggle Autosave, Save to File, and Reload Game. Figuring out how to implement those functions into the base General menu was annoying since CCSE doesn't offer the functionality natively.

I can try looking into it. If I had to guess, it's CCSE's code injection functions that I'm utilizing to do some shenanigans. It's been a few months since I've even looked at the code but I'll give it a whirl to see if I can fix it.

Shimmer Pop randomly stopped working with other mods for me. The only thing that changed from when it was working and now is that I had Steam completely closed for a bit.
It seems like it's only non-CCSE mods that aren't working with Shimmer Pop, and from what I can tell it's *every* non-CCSE mod I have (which is like 10ish).

The features lacking from this but are in Cookie Assistant are pretty much what I want to add before the "final version." That's the plan anyway. I just have no time frame of when I'll get around to it.

If possible perhaps take a peak at the mostly-defunct Cookie Assistant as a lot of ppl who used that are hoping for it to be updated. I think if you remake as much of it as viable it'd be great.
Though I do understand that's a lot to ask so no pressure.

Technically the mod is a cheat function, yes. Will it give you the Steam achievements related to cheating? Maybe, sure.

Can you list the mods? There really shouldn't be any compatibility issues as the mod only uses CCSE and doesn't exchange any info, and saves its own data separate of other mods/the game. But I can try to check out any conflicts regardless.

@Fredongo, it appears the dev for MHUR copied my mod's code directly into MHUR so don't bother with that mod I linked, just make sure Steam downloads the update for MHUR and you should no longer see loss of data.

I too have had issues with milk and wallpaper being reset, which is why the next version of Shimmer Pop will likely include an option to set those permanently.

Fascinating. I'll definitely do more testing after I wake up tomorrow, including a full reinstall. Thanks for the extra effort and info, as well as the suggested fix! I've had the MHUR upgrades reset once before when I added two mods and changed the load prio, so I didn't give it any more thought. I'm still wondering what's resetting my vanilla settings like milk and wall selection.

Ok after looking over MHUR's code, and CCSE's, it appears CCSE appends any new achievement, upgrade, buff, etc to its own config. I don't even see functionality to segregate this data from CCSE's config either.

I have a theory that it may be possible for MHUR's author to copy CCSE's config, iterate it for MHUR's content only, then save it as MHUR metadata. Then just load the MHUR metadata and do a parity check with CCSE. Any disparity between it and CCSE's config can be rectified in MHUR. That is, if you can access the config information of other loaded mods from another, which, I don't know.

It is interesting this happened to you after version 3. I wasn't using MHUR until you commented, but I'm having no issues with the upgrades refunding themselves--it's saving/loading perfectly fine for me. I honestly don't know if there's anything I can do.

In the meantime, you can revert to version 2.1 by going to the GitHub, and copying old-code.txt to a file called main.js and have it act as a local mod instead. Copy the info.txt file as well, what's in there shouldn't matter.

I'll take a look into it, though having a conflict like that is very strange. Each mod is loaded separately and I don't believe I'm overwriting anything with the game's savedata itself or something like that, which I'm unsure is even possible. Might take a little bit to figure out, if I can.

Update: It seems like all locally saved metadata is discarded on game relaunch, including selected golden cookie sound, wallpaper and milk color. According to the comment section of MHUR the heavenly tree upgrade is also saved this way. A fix would be greatly appreciated <3

I've been playing with Shimmer Pop and More Heavenly Upgrades Remastered for weeks now, and since Version 3 of this mod anytime the game is restarted it resets the upgrade progress from More Heavenly Upgrades (basically forcing you to ascend every time you open the game to get your upgrades back). Any chance you could look into a fix? I disabled all other mods and tried both having SP and MHUR higher priority. Neither worked

Planned features for v3.1/4: auto buying brokers, auto farming (might be out of my depth but I'll look into it), auto casting grimoire spells, auto selling buildings to trigger Godzamok, auto buying buildings based on cps, auto season swapping, chocolate egg (not even really sure how it works but I found it in the game code, I'll look into it), setting milk/background because it randomly resets... and that's about all I can think of right now that may be viable and in the next version. :steamhappy:

Okay, the file is actually GONE from my pc. But after restarting my game 4 times, it is still alive and well, and killing my mcwrinkies. I'm not sure whats going on, maybe it'll be fixed after I ascend. I'm gonna keep looking to see if theres a secret file in my pc somewhere, but right now it's just goofy ;-;

Sounds like an issue with Steam..? Unsubscribing from the Manage Mods menu in game should work, it's worked for me for several mods. If it continues to not delete itself, navigate to the local files (right click the game in your library > manage > browse local files) and go into resources\app\mods\workshop\ and delete the Shimmer Pop folder.

You can't get rid of it after getting it. I was going to try to do the wrinkler build up strat, but Shimmer Pop is constantly killing my wrinkler ;-; I tried to unsubscribe from it, and it shows that I have unsubbed, but it's still doing it. I've restarted my game a couple of times, but it's still not working ;-;

Bahahaha, while doing some programming I accidentally fudged it all up and some scripts went frenzy and now my savefile is fubar. RIP like 3 months of legit progress. It also gave me a bunch of unearned Steam achievements. Oh well, such is the consequence of progress; shoulda set the mod to disable Steam 'chievos. Progress is still goin fellas. I did see someone reuploaded this mod which I found flattering and kind of obnoxious, but whatever I suppose.

It will be a direct replacement, as an update, to the current workshop item. Steam should automatically download the new version once I publish it for every subscriber to the mod.

Progress was set back and the mod's code has been rewritten from scratch (again, but this time on purpose!) but I've mostly restored all the features I had before the rewrite. I just really hated the code I was working with, so I created a new .js file and thought of a more clever way to organize and structure the mod's internals.

Now it's on GitHub under an MIT license.

You can load the new version/code as a local mod if you'd like while I finalize it and continue to add features. The old code is on there too as a text file, if you wish to look it over in complete disgust.

Well that's an interesting issue. Nothing in the mod saves that type of info. I actually just tested this using the actual backfire code for Conjure and when I imported the save, Clot was gone.

I guess all I can say is try again with the mod enabled to see if it happens once again. Super weird if it does, no idea what could be the issue.
