It's way worse in vanilla where they label the Muysca as "Inti" followers. I agree it's still an oversimplification in this mod as well but I did try to establish the uniqueness of the Muysca by giving them Bochica as powerful deity only their culture can choose.

For some reason my game crashes whenever I try to send a colonist to a province (also, I was able to pass all religious reforms at once as no authority was actually lost, and there was no stab hit either). Anyone else have that problem?

Then I was thinking of adding a mission where you build a grand temple / select a deity to venerate, similar to how Cusco venerated Inti. Basically you would need to reach a certain manpower threshhold, to symbolize the labor needed for such projects, then you would get a harmful country modifier for a few years, (im thinking autonomy, corruption and unrest) that symbolizes the pain of such projects, then when the modifier is gone, and your corruption/autonomy is good, you can select a permanent country modifier equal to one of the deities, symbolizing you preferring that one with all the grand new projects/temple(s) you built.

Would you be ok with me making a fork of this mod? I was thinking of making a few more missions and nerfing inti deity and giving other ways for Inca to compete, although more for the player than the AI, probably.


I was thinking of having some missions that help colonize to the north and south east a bit, so you can get better chances of reforming if the colonizers colonized one area but not the other.

Maybe some missions that give you a CB to vassalize Muisca or whoever takes its provinces, (Since you need to colonize before you annex them) with a reward of discovering Mesoamerica/getting an explorer -> then a mission to vassalize Mesoamerican tags?

Or maybe some missions that auto-colonize some provinces in the Caribbean, since that always gets colonized first. So it could help you reform.

Ah, fair for Inti. Although it basically eliminates all choice for Cusco/Inti. If you want a rare modifier for Inca, maybe you could do something like an estate privilege that doubles/triples your deity bonus, that you have to unlock through a mission? Like how Fetishists can take a privilege that amplifies their current cult but prevents them from switching. (Or something like that, iirc)


Anyway, at least that way you can have an actual choice instead of just always picking Inti. And you would have to "unlock" it if it is through missions.

Also about the religion, yeah, you're probably gonna get all the reforms before you meet the Europeans anyway. It's the actually bordering them part that is the limiting factor. And I understand what you mean about the missions.

Inti is only available for Cusco or if you form Inca. I wanted it to be a rare modifier that's super powerful that you have to unlock just like Rainbow Serpent for Aborigines. For France it would be a game breaking bonus but for a native tag like Inca it gives the AI a chance to put up a basic fight against Europeans.

Cuscos tree does give you Religious authority needed to reform your religion but I could add some final mission to help with the final reformation step. Waiting for Europeans is such a gamble like you said.

Lol if I wasn't so lazy I might retackle the trees for the region but it's a lot of work for a lot of incredibly minor tags

The province of Chuqisaka has the units in the wrong place, they are too far to the right.

The cults other than Inti seem balanced in my opinion. Although 15% dev cost is edging on too good, it's somewhat balanced by the horrible dev cost penalties for being primitive and for mountains.

I will say I was disappointed that the missions didn't offer some way to help you/guarantee you to reform/modernize your religion, or maybe guarantee it after a certain year. One of the greatest pains when playing as Inca is the RNG of "will the AI colonize near me?" and if not, well then you're fucked.

All in all, loved the mod, though! Much better than mine. I do wish there were more missions in general, though. You complete them really quickly.

I'm loving the mod so far. That being said, Inti is WAAY op. -10% cheaper power costs would be op by itself, but it also has 25% admin efficiency? One of the best modifiers in the game!?

I've been using them together, the EE mission tree clearing stuff didn't work properly but it's still functioning.
