Wow I did not realize that one comment I left in CRS about the offscreen den bug helped so many people to find the issue... Well, I'm glad to have helped.

the music is so pretty! also I used diverse shelters with this just fine along with expanded leg, outskirts & Industrial remakes, and curious ascent, and it worked just fine. Huh???

@Jevmen That thing did happen, though. That issue was fixed shortly, March 4th, to be exact. I've literally had no mods besides the CRS, Custom Threat Themes mod, plus a few cosmetic mods. I did notice empty scavenger tolls at one point. After noticing a lack of life in regions, I turned off every mod but CRS. At one point, I even blamed slugpups for that issue, not even suspecting CRS as an issue causer, I was going mad. Getting regions' spawns broken over and over again, resetting my run over and over again. Until I DID scroll through comments there and turned CRS off, and BAM! No disappearing scavengers, vultures or miros birds. Regions' offscreen dens would get permanently rekt after quitting mid-cycle, ruining save. Though, reporting issues about something with over nine thousand mods installed is pretty stupid, Rain World can't handle even storing too many downloaded mods, not mentioning having everything turned on at the same time.

all i remember is that CRS during a period of time could cause offscreen creatures to appear in weird places but that was over a year ago, right now there isnt any bug like that

@Jevmen that's weird. i do know for a fact that, at some point, custom regions support broke offscreen dens. if it's not happening to you then that goofy goober must have had an outdated version of CRS

idk what you talking about that being caused my CRS, i had never heard any reports of CRS causing anything remotely similar to that. I dont know what this "well known" thing you talk about is because no, CRS doesnt break offscreen creatures

@engineer gaming this is a late reply but offscreen creatures disappearing is a well-known bug and is caused by custom regions support. this is one of the many reasons why i never use that mod. it affects vultures, rain deer, scavengers, leviathans, and any modded creatures with offscreen dens. the only way to fix it is to uninstall that mod and restart your save.

I really love how this mod gives the region more life :]! The cozy and tidy aesthetic of some rooms is just *mwa.* Everything flows together really well! Each of the ambient tracks are really good too--is there any way you could upload them separately somewhere for easy listening?

For some reason, with this mod, scavengers disappear in undergrowth after a couple of cycles. Is this normal?

this made "They Say" play on loop once i got into undergrowth, only stopping when i died and got sent out (it started back up again upon re-entering) and exiting to the title screen before going back in to make it play "Chlorine" instead.

I hope so! I'd also like the remix menu memory leaks to be fixed, having to restart because my memory usage spiked permanently because I wanted to change a remix setting sucks v_v

The map system overall in this game is very clunky and wasnt made to be dynamically modified, hopefully it imporves next update

Shortbear, while it's not quite ideal or what you want, once I beat the base game, got all the challenges beat and all I just turned on the cheats to have my unlocks on new saves so I can mod and have fun

i dont think so, if you dont like it you can dig in the files and look for the "modify regions file" it just has 2 words "DS and UG" simply remove DS and it should work

For clarification, When you say you have to restart you save does that just mean I have to use a new save of an individual slugcat? or wipe the whole save slot

it gets deleted when you run the game so it only tracks your last session.
how about the console log, it writtes everything which is happening in game, it can enter loops when it doesnt crash but bugs out, with devtools you can press K to show it on screen at all times

Oh that, dont worry that part of the file is actually useless and its unused since the game was ported to Unity, every other room has it, idk what it could be then what is causing the issue, i could imagine scuffed stuff for rooms which act like bridges between vanilla and modded but this room is just nested in between many identical ones, does it generate a exceptionlog?

in world/UG-Rooms, the file named "UG_A11p" says "DS_A11+" inside the file, i don't know how else to explain it

which "UG_A11p", also yeah it would 100% crash since this mod was made in 1.5 when special symbols were allowed, in 1.9 the + crashes so i changed all of them to a "p" instead, idk where that file could have come from or in what context exists, is your version modified or something? idk why this happens to you alone

yes, i checked and the toll room doesn't cause crashes, nor does the room on the other side of the toll, or any rooms connecting to that room. only that room in particular causes this problem. however, i did check the files for that room, and noticed that the "UG_A11p" file says "DS_A11+", could this be what causes the bug?

i checked the room and it works on my side, no decals which may trigger a crash.
If it takes time to freeze thats probably because its not this room, but the other rooms loading from abstract form, you can see on the map which rooms are becomming green color slowly realizing, usually takes a short time, the room right to the left its a scavenger toll which usually always takes a time to tank all the scavenger loading so it may be related to that in some way, still rare that it freezes the game, do you have other mods which may alter something related to scavengers?
Have you tried the room at the other side of the Toll? UG_B13p to see if the same happens there?

it freezes the game, i can still pause and unpause, and warp menu stops working once it happens. it doesn't occur immediately unless i warp there, but when i enter the room normally, it gets laggy, the water sound keeps restarting and then the game softlocks.

does that happen consistenly?
I checked the room and doesnt have anything alarming, isnt a joint room in between sections to be vulnerable at all.
Is it a full crash or game simply stop running? can you still pause? what entrance did you take?
is it the entrance or the room what is broken, can you warp to it?
Only thing i could think of its if it had some devtool object, for example a missing decal but the room doesnt have anything like that.

i dont really know what it could be with how scuffed the remix menu is managing these things, i wouldnt be surprised if the menu its lying to you in some capacity, remix will have some fixes in the next update which may fix it for you, and i would have to update it to the newer method when that happens regardless
