Should be optional, it's just some of the fixes used to be a part of this mod, but then got removed in favor of a separate mod.

Looks well balanced. But I'm a bit confused that are those fixes hard required or just optional?

Ok, fair enough, I'll consider buffing the damage, although I don't want the musketeer to outclass the arbalest. For example, bola is also -50%, but it hits 2 targets and has knockback which is okay I guess, but the chance is so low it's almost irrelevant (the skill has very good acc tho).

True that it needs to pass debuff resist and has a bit less ACC, nevertheless, it's effect is general, stacks, can be capitalised on by other party members and isn't restricted to certain enemies like proc piercing. Anyway that's why I think Buckshot needs to do more dmg to be worthwhile over their other abilities, like skeet shot just seems more universally useful especially combined with their marking ability.

When I tried editing the musketeer myself (coz they seem to be the universally accepted character to try and differentiate yourself), I ended up with a similar set-up as yours, except I tried seeing it more as a subclass of both the Arbalest and the HWM. (seeing as they both use friggin guns).

Well, a different effect if you prefer. I'm not sure the crit received debuff is that good considering the skill has leper accuracy, and that it also needs to go through debuff resistance. So to make grapeshot worthwhile you'll need at least +20 acc and a debuff trinket. Whereas the buckshot is way more accurate and its armor piercing is guaranteed, although I admit that it does nothing for other party members.

I really disagree that it's a "better effect". It simply makes more sense imo. The crit vulnerability that grapeshot does carries it into higher level dungeons and is effective against mostly any enemy, while 25% piercing is more situational, otherwise the move isn't worth using.

The thing is I tried doing exactly as you said in my other rework and was told multiple times that -50% is op and that it should be nerfed to -67% instead. I'm not against the idea, but I need more convincing argument. Comparing buckshot to hwm's grapeshot: it has 10 more acc, 4% more crit (3% if we count crit from weapons) and a better effect, does around 1-2 less dmg per target. I think it's fine as is.

Buckshot would probably be fine just having -50% instead of -60%. Makes it almost entirely worthless especially compared to the Highwayman's equivalent.

Interesting. Buckshots isn't super useful overall. but skeetshot and the trinkets are great.

My own input;
-I would her main shot full AP and have her as a range version of the shieldbreaker with more supportive tools with her skeet/smoke.
-Giving buckshots something like -1/-5 SPD would give it more usage than mini AP.
-Patch up cure bleed please lol
-Trinkets that give AP should be changed to either full AP or given special effects like Ripose with sidearm with fullset.

But that's my own Musketter dream. Good mod though. Fun to use her as a RALLY on my flare type of character

For me, I would love to see patches for musketeer's CC and COM trinkets.I hope the author can get more support and make patches soon.

So is this mod compatible with courtyard plus or not? The courtyard modifies the trinkets that drop from courtyard bosses, but it does not change the courtyard trinkets for classes, including the musketeer. Does this mean that these 2 mods are compatible?

Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be done that easily due to how musketeer's CC and CoM trinkets were implemented codewise. Basically, a separate bridge/patch mod for each specific trinket mod is required. If people want, I could make a couple of these patches for the most popular ones.

Both skills and trinkets changes are great adjustments to the Musketeer, and I hope the compatibility with other mods that change the Crimson Court and Color of Madness trinkets will be improved as soon as possible
