Hopefully Trippy adds a gun built-in

it seems like theres a bug on Malden and Altis where you get stuck on the back of the ramp, floating indefinitely. Only happens on those maps Ive seen so far- Helo works flawlessly on other maps like lythium and takistan. But yeah- Altis and Malden you get stuck on the ramp until zeus teleports you off. Plz fix?

@[85oc] John Sheppard you can refuel as is with the USAF mod refuelers, the probe on the MH-47 is a fixed probe it doesn't extend or retract.

Would it be possible to make the Maintenance Panel a standalone Mod so other Aircraft for an example Hatchet MH60 can have this feature aswell?
I really love the idea of the feature but would be nice if its working for all airframes in use of a unit

Hello there. Very nice mod. Little suggestion:
It would be nice to have a crew movement option for the crew in the back to lay down on the ramp to check ground clearance. It would also be helpful for hovering with the aft wheels on the ground.

Hi, the mil sim unit I'm in is looking for an advanced Chinook, this mod combined with the simple startup cockpit would be perfect, however, this airframe doesn't have a rear gun or loadmaster seat.

Is it possible to add these or would you allow our in house mod team to do it themselves?

side note, it would be nice if you could completely close the ramp. right now it only really half closes, leaving a gap at the top.

Would love to see an update to this, improved model and improved flight model. right now it seems to be too nimble and light feeling; handling more like an orca, when it should handle like the huron. i mainly use the British HC-6 variant in game.

if anyone wants to or is able to work on the model, i have some great pictures ((including cockpit ones)) of the real thing that could be useful.

Might be a problem on my end, but I can't seem to sit on the ramps. I tried with all 6 of them and wasn't able to do it to any of them. The spots don't appear even when interacting via ACE.

Hey, does anyone else have an issue with trying to put an AI in the crew chief spot in the editor? If I spawn any of them empty and try to fill it with AI, they'll fill all the spots except the crew chief and I can't figure out why. I've tried running it with just this mod and RHS to see if it was a mod conflict, but it's still doing it.

Hi Trippy, you absolutely have the most high quality chinook in Arma, but my group needs to tow tanks into the AO (I know its not realistic, but we're more casual). The vanilla chinook and other base chinook workshop mods can, but I would prefer to use your mod. Is there any possibility of 'increased lift' version for us filthy casuals?

Btw, I feel like this heli handles waaaay to well for it's size. Compared to BIS "Chinooklike" helo, RHS CH-47 or AFAIR even original release (think we're using either it or some AFM upgrade of it) of MH-47 this one feels more like a Huey, you don't feel the "weight" of the chopper.

So here's my question:
...is it hard to edit AFM \ weight distribution simulation of the mod? Is there any chance you could make it more akin to what other heavy helis in-game feel like?

@[ACPL] Jon Because the 160th SOAR doesn't use a tail gun anymore now that the MH-47G's have the two rear window side M240s but the RAF version still has the ramp gun as they still use it on their HC-5's today.

This is an awesome mod first of all...
Second maybe i can get some help identifying if i am doing something wrong or expecting something incorrectly. I have a mission created where a couple friends and i will "load vehicle" a raft in the back... Fly to a position and land in the water, unload it and then all of us disembark to do hood shit. Problem is that after a few second of the engine off while floating, it takes hull damage and wrecks.
Is that meant to function that way? I thought it would float with the ramp level/down so we could return and exfil?

@Commander Jonathan Archer The fast rope bars are tied into ACE so when you hit "Deploy bars" its auto levels the ramp and extends the rope bars it has nothing to do with rappelling.

really cool Helicopters :) - just a short question : How does those "ACE Fast Roping With Custom Fast Rope Bars" thing work? I activated your Mod + ACE Rappel Only - and set ingame those "let Units rappel down" Waypoint - but your Helicopter just hover & all Soldiers stay inside.

@Get trippy you can not sling load anything like cargo boxes or artillery it feels super under powered for being a Chinook, also fly's like a little bird needs be bit more sluggish
