@Alapma they do act like individual shelves but the solution for your problem is linking shelves together. Colonists will merge stacks in linked shelves. If you have more than one group of linked shelves, however, you will run into the same problem. You can fix that by disallowing wood or setting the priority lower/higher in one of the groups. These solutions work on vanilla shelves as well.

does each "shelve" of the connected shelve act like a different storage or they all act like one? my main problem with shelves is that i can have 10 shelves each with 1 wood, but i can't tell my pawns to haul to stack since each shelve is considered a separate storage area, so they can't find another stack to merge them even though there are 9 different stacks

it should be safe for 1.5 but i haven't updated the version to 1.5 yet. i also wanna update the textures but idk what im doing and also lazy, sorry ;-;
