Update is now live :)
BlackDog  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 10:59am
Once the latest version of CHL is pushed to stable, I will update this mod with a couple of new features (MCM options to switch between the operation name and the mission site on the 3rd line of the save file, 24h geoscape clock and an update for the string displays in the bar/memorial).
BlackDog  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 10:57am
@Victor de Noir - I've implemented a fix for the 24h clock on the geoscape in my other UI mod for now: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3268722967

It has all of the same features as regards date/time management and includes additional features for campaign management (sorting of games by campaign etc.).

@BlackDog that would be great! Its difficult for me to assess the passage of time with how AM / PM works. I am normally only using 24h format.
BlackDog  [author] 26 Oct, 2024 @ 6:24am
Ah OK 24h clock on the Geoscape is probably pretty do-able - I'll look into it :)
BlackDog  [author] 15 Sep, 2024 @ 1:51am
Well, the date on the geoscape takes the long form (e.g. "March 2, 2025 or whatever") which wasn't really the issue I was trying to solve. It is possible to change the geoscapre time string. I can force it to "2025-3-1" quite easily but I'm pretty sure I can't add any leading zeroes, like I'm doing with the save files, due to the way the text is localized, which looks a bit weird. Without MCOing X2StrategyRuleSetDataStructures I can't really change the code that assembles that date and it's a bit on the invasive side for what would be achieved by doing it.

@BlackDog sorry it seems I was unclear I am referring to the 24 hour time format, less the date format, which you seem to be referring to in your comment.
Victor de Noir 14 Sep, 2024 @ 12:21pm
@BlackDog why was it not possible to implement this also for the geoscope. This is where I would need it most.

Nice. Thanks again, BlackDog.

@Dragon32 - You'll be pleased to know I got permission from BG to release so the mod combining both functionalities is now here:

@BlackDog
Thanks for the detailed reply, BlackDog. I completely understand: Theseus' ship has nothing on mod making.
BlackDog  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 11:19am
Hi @Dragon32 - I've managed to build a local mod on my machine which combines the functionality of the ISO mod with BGs reorganise campaign. However, to do it I've had to basically bastardise a bunch of his original code and I'm not comfortable creating a new mod using that much of someone else's work without their permission so I'm going to speak with him & see what's possible. It just turned out to be much more straightforward to create a new mod than MCO existing MCOs as it has problems with mod & config load order and stuff like that. Hopefully will get a working version on the workshop soon :)
Dragon32 4 Jun, 2024 @ 1:44pm
@BlackDog
I'm guessing this and "Rename And Reorganize Campaign" are still incompatible? I can't see an update since your post about it in July.

@Reading - Are you able to contact me on the xcom modding discord to discuss the issue a bit more fully please? I'm happy to update the mod to try & accommodate this behaviour if it's not fully working in all locales but I'd need to understanf exactly what you modified, and what the mod does for locales in which it's not working correctly. Screenshots etc. would be handy :)

However, the existing saves don't seem to be sorted... I'm not sure...

Passed through a translator.
From Korean to English.

In languages that already use the ISO style, only half-clauses are applied and displayed as follows.
----
-2024 5 12 - - 04:34 - Save 25
mission name
-2035 3 24- - Mission Name
----

In languages that use the ISO style, there is an issue where 5/9 is sorted above 5/12 when sorting by date, so this mode feels like a ray of light in our language. But it wasn't applied properly.

I was wondering if you could please update to take this issue into account.

References
In our language, when saving without a mode, it is displayed as YYYY MM DD - 00:00. We use " " instead of "/".

I modified the script without permission, packaged it, and tested it...

YESSS!! I LOVE ME MORE ISO8601!!!!
Toastkoro 20 Oct, 2023 @ 11:09pm
Based ISO enjoyer.
WarLLT1315 17 Jul, 2023 @ 3:41pm
Whatever the outcome, thank you.
BlackDog  [author] 17 Jul, 2023 @ 12:23am
@WarLLT1315 - I'm afraid that's correct. At the time of writing I wasn't aware of the existence of this mod & they both override UISaveLoadGameListItem so that's a real conflict - until fixed do not use them together. I'm looking into what can be done to make them compatible and will let you know if I can come up with a working solution.

On AML, they show conflicts. [WOTC] Rename And Reorganize Campaign
Hagamablabla 14 Jul, 2023 @ 9:14pm
The most important XCOM2 mod ever made.
BlackDog  [author] 12 Jul, 2023 @ 6:25pm
Note, I have updated this to append a 0 to the 24h save game times where appropriate (e.g. so it displays 07:00 rather than 7:00) and put a dash between the time and the name of the save game so the top line now looks like:
2023-06-12 - 05:30 - My Special Save Game 1
or (if you manually set 24h clock = false in the config)
2023-06-12 - 5:30 AM - My Special Save Game 1
Arock 3 Jul, 2023 @ 1:49pm
Just joking around :)
BlackDog  [author] 3 Jul, 2023 @ 12:06pm
@Arock, when you say it's not compatible....are you just being sarcastic or is the mod actually displaying things incorrectly for you? It should work because the game uses "INT" locali(z)sation for all English so it should work just as well for US players as well!
Arock 2 Jul, 2023 @ 7:42pm
After some testing, I found that this mod is not compatible with US players.
WarLLT1315 2 Jul, 2023 @ 9:33am
Thank you very much, as a Chinese player. This is a small but significant improvement.
BlackDog  [author] 1 Jul, 2023 @ 11:04am
@Laserbelly - Mod updated to include 24h clock functionality as well :)
BlackDog  [author] 1 Jul, 2023 @ 11:03am
The world has already ended according to the Mayan calendar ;)
lordabizi 1 Jul, 2023 @ 8:55am
Is this mod compatible with the Mayan calendar? asking for a friend.
BlackDog  [author] 1 Jul, 2023 @ 8:43am
For what it's worth, I'm currently working with copyrite (the author of the 24h clock mod) to combine the functionality from that mod with this one. The mods are currently incompatible with each other as they both over-ride the same base game class.
Diego 30 Jun, 2023 @ 3:19pm
Great mod. Thank you. its 1000% easier to locate your saves. Wonder why the Developers didn't use a 24 hour clock on a military themed game ?

Thank you for your work from all international X-Com Fans!
