for the sparrows, you should have them unable to be flared

HOWEVER they have a worse turn rate, and you need to keep lock until target
and, obviously, they have a longer reload time

so, you know the "air to air" loadout that is synonymous with the phantom?
(4x aim7 4x aim9)
could you do that? i dont see many f4s on the workshop with that loadout for some reason
i have an interesting idea for the sparrows, if you want to hear it (for balance and a little moar realism)

also, a "mixed" loadout, just replace one of the pylons with aim9s

The jet is in early access, yes. I’ve done a major overhaul over the last week which makes AI a lot more aggressive too.

@aRandomPotato all good mate. I'm 70% certain this occurs because I give realistic mass to my aircraft (seems like nobody realises that Unity uses standardised units of measurement, that's not my problem) which makes them "incredibly non-moving" to the Raven Thunder mutator. Something along those lines.
I also dynamically change acceleration and turn rate values in real-time which could also interfere with Raven Thunder, but I wouldn't know. All I know is, it's a problem on their end, not mine.

the f4 just stalls out as soon as you switch to third person viewing

im okay with not running RT aiming, but I really wanted it for the skyraider mod i have

@DLevK the thing is, I'm not a scripter, so I can't make a mode separator, and I don't work with other people (well, not really, apart from small bits here and there).
I'm currently working on a new aircraft, the F-100D, which will be similar to the F-5 yet slower and hence easier for AI to use, as well as boasting a loadout similar to the F-4 but far lighter. I might be done it within a week, dunno tho. These things take time.

The F-5, in my opinion, is useless, since it only has two AGM missiles, which will be worse than the GBU, and in other mods there will be more missiles with a better guidance system
And it’s not difficult for me to control the GBU, I just think it would be more convenient to separate the bomb guidance modes

As Vegan Steak said above your message, my previous F-5 might fit your needs.
As for the GBU-10, it’s not that difficult to use. If you’re not aiming, then you can fire the bomb if it’s locked onto a target. If you’re aimed in, and then aim back out, it will fix a target raycast at the point you used to be looking at. Currently I’m not sure which one the bots tend to use, I think they try using laser guidance rather than active locking.

3. As far as I understand (I am writing through a translator), you did not understand what I meant. Nowadays, the GBU-10 in fashion can fly towards vehicles or to a specific point (like the missiles of a vanilla helicopter). I suggest switching between these modes for convenience

1- I do not work for you, and why would you ask for a double-seater aircraft to become single seat??
2- the aircraft has too many weapons already, 5 pilot weapon is already too many to handle for AI.

I would like this plane to be single-seat and the GBU-10 could be thrown both on equipment and anywhere (like helicopter missiles) - add a mode switch for the bomb

@JackofSomeTrades the problem is, I am not a scripter. And the way I set up my stuff is usually through animations. They'd need to be accessed by an external script if I were to do it as you say, but as I said, I ain't a scripter lol.

I'm not a scripter lol. Everything I achieve is through unity animation and, if bleeding necessary, I'll request someone lend me a hand (like the cluster bombs, they only give kill credit because Macbeth is a lad).
The skin change isn't a script, although there is a script to provide alternative skin swapping. I also won't be making this compatible with Raven Thunder because the makers of that mutator are lazy and clearly don't understand what they're doing. I've already investigated the cause and it just so happens that their mutator relies on your aircraft having the mass of a paper weight LMAO.
Sorry for the rant, just kinda fed up with requests on an early access mod, you're aight man.

Aside from that, there's nothing you or I can do. I *could* follow the rest of the workshop and make my jet unrealistic in performance and have static values which control flight, but I'm not gonna. I get that everyone like war thunder, but I'm not gonna let a mutator dictate what I can and can't do, especially since this is entirely the fault of the authors' since they made an equation that applies either a huge downforce due to mass, or is attempting to access variables changed at runtime that shouldn't be even touched in the first place. Hope you understand where I'm coming from.

2 - the rigidbody (which is basically what assigns mass and drag) uses realistic mass values. Why is that any different to other vehicles? Well, firstly, I can say that there is not one modder on this workshop, besides the one or two I've worked with, that use realistic mass. Tanks weigh like only a couple tonnes at most in this game, which is dumb. I've assigned a mass of 15-28 tonnes (this variant is the heaviest, so it's 28 tonnes; the upcoming variants are lighter) to recreate a semblance of realism. If the jet is falling out of the sky for some reason, the mutator is likely using some kind of equation including the mass and the huge mass is applying an enormous downforce of some kind.

@CrossTalk there are literally no scripts that I use which could cause that. My theory is that the things I've done to the aircraft via Unity tools have caused something to go wrong with the communication between the mutator and my jet. Essentially, a lot of this aircraft uses values that change at run-time to "enhance" your flight experience, but without any scripts, so it can't go wrong. There's probably one of two things that could be causing the incompatibility.
1 - the manipulation of said values clashes with the mutator, due to the fault of the creator. There should be absolutely no reason for them to be touching any of those values, so if they've done so, that's not my problem, and I won't remove my stylistic touches because someone can't code properly.

I'm running the mod that turns the flight mechanics into war thunder and the plane just falls out of the sky aside from not running the mod is there anything i can do to get those two mods to work together

A small advice: F-4E release flares from the bottom of the plane, behind the pylons of sidewinders. F-4J release flares from the back of the plane. Maybe you miss the point.
