They lost my respect when they surrendered just because some bombs fell on them and because Soviets destroyed their most important Army.
At least in game they will act as Japanese should.
"The Glorious Death of One Hundred Million" is much better than being yankee slave on the knees perpetualy. And is much better than that thing that eventualy emerged of it.
The only good outcome for Japan after all they did.
