UNSC are normal, Covenant (and the player) are Gruntified. The problem when I made it was there was no real way to set up the Spartan's armor variants to have customization working properly. It might be doable in the future if I decide to go back to this, I would love to see Noble Team as Grunts eventually

A new version was released for this today. I fixed the flickering Cortana light on Pillar of Autumn, and ported over the most recent versions of the Cursed H3 weapons from Cursed Reach. This optimizes a ton of space and gives the maps a little more breathing room

Ohhh Stoney, I know what that is. It's the Cortana capsule you're carrying on your back, I can adjust the positioning. If I recall, in Cursed Reach in this mission I changed something to fix this, I'll look at this again and try to find a fix. Because you're so much shorter as a Grunt, it basically renders in your line of sight.

Something funky definitely happened at some point with the Jackal/Skirmisher Grunts where they don't see players somehow? I'm unsure if it's related to the model, or to something in the AI behavior.

The Grunters also do have some issues, they do melee up close and fire from far away, but sometimes they just go dumb and I haven't figured that one out. I assume this is also related to some missing animation references, but I'll dig into this at some point.

And regarding if it makes the game harder, it kind of does. Since you have Grunt skin as a material type, you take different damage than the default skin in Reach's campaign. As in, you take more damage because you're a Grunt, naturally by the game's logic. I debated for a while on changing it, but I kind of liked the idea of keeping you feeling weaker as a Grunt in combat.

Also I think the AI of some grunts might be broken. The Hunters and grunts with Needle Rifles I've encountered so far didn't really attack me

The taming of the grunts, the grunt rebellion, were it not for the grunts, the grunts would've broken long ago.

New patch is live, increases the rate of Interdimensional Marbles spawning, I added an additional 30 weapons that can spawn from these marbles, updated the M6D Magnum sounds to be classic CE sounds, adjusted the visual of the M6D to be more like CE on impact, fixed a shading issue with the Jackal Grunts, and added some "Xbox Series X" meme weapons I made, hidden throughout the campaign.

I need to update it to include all the extra weapons added to the Marble. I've ported over all of my Cursed Halo 3 weapons and have the marble updated, but some levels like The Package hit memory limits immediately and I can't build the map with it. Trying to find a solution, but I might just upload where it spawns nothing on that level.

Glad you enjoyed it though! I'll maybe increase the odds of those marbles spawning too

New update is live, returns Jackals and Skirmishers to being able to be headshot, fixed a bug with Elites not exiting drop pods, and I hid some "Interdimensional Marbles" around the campaign from my Cursed Halo 3 mod, and can also rarely drop from a variety of enemies. These will spawn in a variety of weapons (23 currently ported) and vehicles (2 currently ported) to use in campaign.

Some of them I gave the Grunt material, some I kept vanilla for a little variety. If you see blue Grunt blood coming out, that's how you know

Health and shields are the same, but the Grunt skin material type takes way more damage from plasma weapons. So same health, but technically more fragile by just being a Grunt

It was kind of an experiment to see if slower moving versions of the Skirmishers and Jackals that don't guard as well would be better to fight without headshots. I'll be fixing that soon, also adjusting some HUD stuff, so expect that soon

After playing a few levels it seems like the jackals and skirmishers cant be head shot, making fighting them kind of tedious.

I spent some time and had ported about 20 Cursed Halo 3 weapons to Reach, they're currently usable in the Firefight version of this mod (also on my workshop) when you play Fiesta

I'd like to eventually make a full Reach cursed campaign, but I'll work on it around other aspects of life since these take a few hundred hours to finish usually.
