Is the mod author planning to update this?

If not, I may fork a minimalist updated version myself. This won't happen soon, it will take me at least a month, given my responsibilities.

Cant you just use genesis guides? i mean i wish you could make pre-ftl. They might make that available soon.

Although I know this is not a perfect solution, I have found a set of commands on reddit that can bridge the gap until a new mod is created or this mod is updated.

Well, theres the " Otter Editor " mod there's an option to place primitive peeps on planets. but its completely random what species or what tech level they're at upon spawning them. but hey its better then nothing.

as someone who liked this mod I hope it gets updated for the new version. Even be updated for the newer patch and dlc's that are coming out.

I really want this mod to work with the new patch; please fix it, to clarify the advancement of the primitives is bugged.

When I create a primitive using the seed ships it's always called a Katzen, and has the POUCHKIN species type. I'm using the real space official mod collection, psionics species expanded, gigastructural engineering, species engineering, and a few other small mods. If this is a bug on my end please let me know. Otherwise I can give more details about my mod list.

Is it possible to pick what the primitives you make will look like with this now? or is it still entirely random? Might have to nuke and resettle a planet many times that's all.

For me, seed ships always produce primitive robot pops, I think this is a bug.

@FirePrince is there a way I can unlock the seed ship with a Machine Intelligence or without choosing The Creator ?

I tried researching the tech with the console commands, but the seed ship doesn't appear in the shipyard.

Forgot to mention. When you seed a planet, you can choose to disassemble the system outpost, so that the seed civ can grow up to own the star. I suppose this would be useful in extra long games where you are trying to act as a Precursor civilization, in the sense that Stellaris can serve as a space based storytelling engine.

A seed ship will set up a pre-space civilization, over which you may build an observation station. The apparent utility is to generate the unique techs gained from that; sacrificing a functional planet for an observation station is patently less efficient than colonizing the planet in the long run, but can help if your empire size is getting higher than is comfortable for you.

@Rick Locker: you write a bit confusing. Jack_Whitters tells the contrary, for him it works with the origin. You tell there is no mod conflict, but you say you added it to a playlist. :-P

I have the same issue as Jack_Whitters and I can confirm that it is NOT a mod conflict. I created a new playlist and added in this mod and this mod along, then created a new save using the creator origin and the seed ships are no where to be found in the build menu.

I used the "research_all_technologes 1 100" console command as well then looked through the techs already "researched" and the tech for seed ships wasn't listed. My guess is that, for whatever reason, the files for the seed ship aren't loading, meaning that the tech to create seed ships can't be researched or gained at all.

All other aspects of the mod load and seem to work, but the seed ships don't.

leviathan engineering does nothing for genocidal empires yet still appear in the selectable ascension perks

@FirePrince: to further add to my comment, I attempted to choose the creator origin, and that allowed me to build the seed ships in a different playthrough, however in any other game, where upon researching it, it does not allow me to build them, regardless of my species ethics. I do have other mods active, 39 to be specific, which any one of them could be a conflict, especially NSC or ACOT considering the various new ships, so it may be a problem on my end, but I still find it weird that choosing the origin lets me build them with those mods, but researching the tech does not. But that's just to keep you updated and try to help, so focus on your vacation and having fun!

I'm having an issue where I cannot build Seed ships, just wondering if there's any prerequisites? I've researched the tech, but cannot see it in both my ship designer nor shipyard. Are you unable to build them if you're a normal xenophobe? I'm playing a normal humanoid race, no toxoids or anything, and I do have all the DLC, so if there's any advice, I would appreciate it.

@FirePrince No, it was an aquatic specie but I think I do have the toxoid DLC, even though I'm not playing them, could this be the issue? I'm going to try using a humanoid race

I got the Leviathan Engineering Ascension Perk which I think is supposed to give me a mega structure, but it hasn't popped up. Also how do I get my domesticated fauna to attack my enemies?

Oh yeah I almost forgot:
The weapons used by the breed creatures do not have the Space Fauna catagory tag, and hence do not benefit from civics like Cordyceptic Drones.

EDIT:
likely a small oversight given that weapon catagory didn't exist in the previous game version of this mod.
