You know what would be a good addon? maybe a tweak to the woodchopping code. Make it like the wait timer, select the amount of logs you want to chop then just sit there and wait for it to finish.

@Bardulf,
new gaming pc = new game! ;-)
started with an other smithing mod (recomendet to me) but am returning to yours!

For me it is still the best one out, especially:
1. Leveling up for smelting, taning and cooking
2. Quicksilver !
3. Gems
4. Your brilliant "three tier Alchemy Perk" and Salt!!!
and since i use it, -some years ago now- it has always run flawlessly for me.
its to me incomprehencible that not more people use it.

In some other mods one can smelt Rings, Amulets and Circles and keep the Gemmes. Which would meet what DeluzionConfuzion is suggesting. But would that be copying?

Thankyou for a OUTSTANDING mod! One of the great stables of all Skyrim mods!
DeluzionConfuzion 4 Aug, 2016 @ 1:00am
i see you can level up gems from flawed to normal and to flawless, but you cant downgrade. (why would you want to downgrade? cause some items need flawless and some need normal) i was wondering if you plan on updating this anytime soon? also, there are wtill random bit from dwemer dungons that cant be smelted, like those items that look like levers and such, just wanted to point them out.

Can you raise the amount of arrows needed to smelt an ingot? I just think that it doesn't make sense that 24 arrows can be smithed with on bar, but you only need 20 arrows to change them back into an ingot.

I've just started my first play, and want to say many thanks to you for this mod! It brings this game sooooooooooooooooo much more sense in the part of interacting with things and equipment. For the Russian newbies: to install it, change the game language to English in the Steam menu, and it will automatically appear! I spent an hour freaking out to make it work >_< //
Для русскоговорящих нубаков таких как я - чтобы мод заработал (появился, установить) надо просто поменять язык игры в меню стим до запуска на английский. Он появится автоматически)) Я час билась, не могла понять почему он не робит))

Hope that you can upload it to the Nexus someday, would be a lot nicer to use with NMM for this (instead of the workshop).
Raizil 17 Oct, 2015 @ 5:49pm
dont have a program to actualy look at the esp file but in XML from what i can make out it's correctly set up as charcoal+iron=steel, so im guessing its a mod conflict somewhere i'll try a new game with only your mod enabled later to see if i'm right.
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 5:03pm
Thank you, glad you like it. I'll see if I can update it more soon.
Raizil 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:29pm
no problem, btw amazing mod, make early game so much less about getting lucky scavenging, and just going straight for items you know of lol, love it.
even if i have to use corundum to get steel atm XD, still love it.
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:26pm
Thanks for the warning. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to test the mod before updating it so when I test it I might be able to source the problem. Thank you for helping!
Raizil 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:23pm
yeah tried changing load order of mods and only having charcoal and iron but nope still showing steel ingot recipie as corundum+iron, even tried running thru SKSE
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:14pm
It is not a problem at all, I'm doing a bit of editing at the moment anyway, so I will try to get to the bottom of this problem soon. I hope it works!
Raizil 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:11pm
Will do, and ty for the fast response, sorry for bugging you im not sure how to edit ESP files or id fix it XD.
Pretty sure it may be a mod conflict tho lol
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:09pm
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, I haven't updated in a while so that may be causing problems. Otherwise try going to a smelter with an iron ingot and 2 charcoals in your inventory, that might boot it up. Meanwhile I'll double check the coding at my end. I may have made a mistake while doing it, sorry for the bugs.
Raizil 17 Oct, 2015 @ 4:01pm
mine game still says corundum+iron=steel, there a way i can fix it?
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 3:18pm
Hi Raizil, There is now. It needs 1 iron ingot and 2 pieces of charcoal.
Raizil 14 Oct, 2015 @ 11:48pm
there a way to make Steel Ingot made with charcoal and iron ingots instead of the orc ingot and iron?
Llathrum 17 Jul, 2015 @ 6:16pm
I am not sure, I just know when I played this fun game last, once I learned that level of item Iron Orcish Elvin etc I sould turn those items into their metal.
Nebless Clem  [author] 12 Jul, 2015 @ 4:28pm
Hi Llathrum, are the items that cannot be smelted from DLC?? If so I am currently working on a DLC edition of this which should fix that issue!!
Llathrum 12 Jul, 2015 @ 1:30pm
This still works, but the list in not complete. Weapons and other items still cannot be smelted
Nebless Clem  [author] 22 May, 2015 @ 4:09pm
Thanks maneki_nekomata, I'll have a look into that when work settles down a bit!
maneki_nekomata 21 May, 2015 @ 8:09am
Now I have a reason to collect all those bent tin cans... I mean, cooking pots and kettles... lying around. I noticed that embalming tools aren't included as being recyclable. Not a complaint, just a head's up. Excellent mod, thanks!
Antares 13 May, 2015 @ 1:39am
Just checking if i have "thumbes up" on all the 67 mods i use and thought i leave a comment:
Thankyou for this great mod, one of my alltime favourits! practical, logical, fun and helps you level up like wow! but without feeling a compleat fraud! ;) Great Idea, Great Work!
Nebless Clem  [author] 17 Feb, 2015 @ 2:59pm
I'll have a look into this when I get the chance, Thanks DeluzionConfuzion.
DeluzionConfuzion 17 Feb, 2015 @ 2:05pm
there are a few thing i would add, for instance, there are some dwemer items that ive found cannot be smelted down, small levers, and levers among them, also, wood bowls, could we maybe turn them into charcoal as well?
Bob Bob The Gamer 6 Dec, 2014 @ 5:43pm

Zues 29 Nov, 2014 @ 10:16pm
i would like to use your skill enhancement for smelting, taning, cooking ect ect but would like to keep the mod i prevously mentioned.
Zues 27 Nov, 2014 @ 5:09pm
hey you are awesome I was woundering if it were posible if you could make me one of these that would be compatible with this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=15567 its a smelter mod that adds a TON of Smelting recipes and i would like to keep it and would like to incorparate this mod aswell
AutoTone 11 Nov, 2014 @ 12:46pm
I have no idea where any of the smelters are, can you please help with this.
Zues 5 Nov, 2014 @ 4:27pm
i was just woundering would it not make more sence to use a flower mill for making the bone meal, & powered tusk. not sure if that is posible or not (adding the skulls, & mammoth tusks to the flower mill but would be cool. if that is possible could you make an stand alone bone meal and powdered tusk form flower mill .
Lord Baking Soda (Uruguay) 21 Oct, 2014 @ 8:51am
Gorix might i just say that your idea is awesome! And this would be the perfect mod for that change! But to keep it balanced, i'd love to have the exp rates kept at a very minimum? Also... it would be awesome to have a rate of discovering an effect or so when harvesting? if that is even possible to config.

Havent really tried the mod yet but it seems extremely promising! I really hope the smelting rates are not too high because i really think that ruins it. Like.. as in the smelting process, some metal is lost or unusable, maybe decomposes or breaks up? I really dont know alot about real life smithing tho :D just think that would be the fairest way in-game
Nebless Clem  [author] 13 Oct, 2014 @ 10:38am
Gorix the G, I will have a look into that and see what I can come up with
Gorix the G 12 Oct, 2014 @ 8:18pm
Might I suggest adding the ability to gain alchemy experience from harvesting ingredients? I've noticed that alchemy takes forever from experimenting with potion combonations, so getting a bit extra from raw ingredients (not from already harvested ingredients, like from a shop) would help a lot. Thanks!
Akti 12 Oct, 2014 @ 5:56pm
Uhh... I can't find the Smelter in riverwood, do I have to do something to activate the mod?
If you can answer, msg me plz. TY!
Anderson "Zaroio" Rubens 11 Oct, 2014 @ 2:15pm
I am gonna give it a try. I enjoy the smelting and Alchemy aind things.

Thanks.
Thriiller 10 Oct, 2014 @ 7:24pm
Great mod, but there is an infinite leveling loop with the gold, once you have at least 50 gold you can infinitely turn it into ore and then back into gold until you hit 100 smithing. Don't know if you want to leave that in or take it out, but it's there.
fish sauce 8 Oct, 2014 @ 5:17am
@Bardulf, I'll be sure to download that mod! Thanks man.
Nebless Clem  [author] 7 Oct, 2014 @ 3:46pm
Hey everyone, Thank you so much for the comments, I am glad to see my mod is being enjoyed and used!!! @JamGaming I can probably do that but it may be a bit of a game breaker so I will put it in a seperate mod to test out first!!
Xeno 7 Oct, 2014 @ 9:42am
I feel like this should have been in the vannilla game.
fish sauce 5 Oct, 2014 @ 11:19pm
Hey, can make it so you can smelt like 100 things at the same time, I want to make 1000 iron daggers but I don't want to spam click, it's really annoying for everything I have to make.
Thanks.
Johannes Magnus 4 Oct, 2014 @ 12:21am
sound like a great mod that maybe sould be in the vannilla game
Eilandril 3 Oct, 2014 @ 5:46am

ModernKiwi 3 Oct, 2014 @ 5:46am
not a mod for me but indeed it sounds like a good mod, keep up the work
Travis Apex 3 Oct, 2014 @ 5:39am
Really salt, from mudcrabs?Lets get serious people, crabs don't give you salt in realatity,do they,no I'm pretty darn sure that salt don't come from crabs and the same in Skyrim.
Lapartaz 1 Oct, 2014 @ 10:54am
