As far as your question goes, taking a photo is just a gimmick, it does not actually do anything. I did want to have some sort of an option to be able to take screenshots but it is simply not possible through the modding interface. The reason being that this requires the mod to interact with your PC file system and that is, basically, a security threat. At least it is my interpretation why Ravenscript does not allow anything remotely close to this
A: No, you cannot access photos or videos, it is a gimmick mechanic. To give a context, Ravenscript does not allow you to interact with the filesystem, i.e. to create or delete entities

it also clearly says that the mod is installed on steam, but it doesn't show up in-game
