Dam didn't know parkour gamemodes could be popular been playing parkour hide and seek for 5 years and everyone hated it - most from how hard & complex it was to master. I guess this mod proved me wrong. Will try it for the gamemode types.

I'm wondering if there's a way I could change the parkour mod at all to where we can wall run. The Wheatley's Parkour addon allows you to wallrun and I want to change the movement to that addon but I have 0 idea how

@heckknok - I discovered this as well while playtesting. Thought I fixed it, but, guess not.

found out you can slide and jump at the same time if you time it right, my group calls it slumping and use it as a way to jump the crane on catalyst, you can also combine it with the high jump mod to get insane speed akin to bunny hopping, we called that super slumping

I got it working running the Windows version of Garry's Mod

Playing Garry's Mod with the launch option "-condebug" provides a "console.log" file in GarrysMod/garrysmod. Try seeing if that works out for you.

Both of the files didn't tell me much. I'm not familiar with Linux at all, but I'm using Windows 10 and Garry's Mod usually creates .mdmp files in the GarrysMod directory, which provides the information I'm looking for.

If these files don't show up for you then, unfortunately, I might not be able to identify your issue.

Sure, thanks for answering btw. I'm not completely sure if that could help, my gmod folder isn't creating log files so I had to run it through the terminal and pipe it into a file

Garry's Mod keeps crashing while Parkour Tag gamemode is selected, it's happening with any map I select with Parkour Tag gamemode, other gamemodes or anything else isn't making my gmod crashing. Loading finishes on "Lua starting" and the game just force closes itself. I can provide some logfiles but they're nonsense, just some math formulas on the logs and it's unreadable and clogs my terminal.

Although I'm running Garry's Mod under Linux I wouldn't say that's the issue (neither my pc specs since they're pretty beefy enough to run gmod), as many other gamemodes and maps run perfectly fine. I also tried to run the Windows version of Garry's Mod with Steam Proton but the same issue persists.

@76561198799312464 - If the game isn't starting make sure you've voted for a gamemode using the vote menu (you can open it by pressing F1.)

Otherwise, please specify what exactly isn't working.

@c4710399 - In the menu, click the button in the bottom right corner that shows what gamemode you are currently playing. Click Parkour Tag, then start a game. Make sure to set it to a multiplayer game if you want to play with friends.

If you set it to multiplayer, the game will begin when there are at least two players in the server and there is at least one vote for a mode. You can open the vote menu by pressing F1.

@nevernight - Beatrun has nothing to do with this addon... Just because there's parkour in it doesn't mean it's a "bad copy" :P

@kohkakave - Yes you can, just boot up the gamemode in Singleplayer
