It's all good! Keep in mind that it also doesn't trigger against projectiles. Maybe the boss character used a lot of those? Either way, I'm glad you found the problem.

nevermind, i was using it agains a boss character and for some reason it wasn't working, but against normal characters it does. Sorry!

I think thats because you have to equip the BUDDY for it to work.
