I'm still using the old version right now, I noticed something that might also be part of this version though. The catwalks are air tight even though they shouldn't be. I used them over an air vent in the hopes of having the vent in the floor so I could walk over it.

Different 3D mesh. IIRC the collision meshes are the same or a lil different; I had to remake the stairs, because I lost the original Blender3D files for these stairs. I don't think I changed the building materials.

Like, they are both slightly different from each other in some way, but only in visuals? Updated textures or something? Hmm.
