This mod made it even worse. Now I do have edges on all blocks
Leif Erik Ronnback 26. feb. 2018 kl. 20:49
@infal Hear Hear! SE is in a class by itself people don't realize we are making history here.
SGT_MAJOR_FISH 28. dec. 2017 kl. 14:17
improved rendering? i wonder if this will help when building my small grid Yamato? :steamhappy:
Toras 24. okt. 2016 kl. 6:40
@infal with the addition of metal grids in heavy armor blocks could you , eventhought you dont have much interested in SE at the moment, please add the metal grids to them?
At the moment when i use your mod it sadly makes the block cheaper.
Shroom 21. aug. 2016 kl. 8:37
@Infal SE is much more than a "tech demo riddled with bugs". Shame you can't see that.
Cypress 2. aug. 2016 kl. 13:49
Righto Thanks!

The last update made to this mod was before 1x2 slopes were implemented so it's no surprise they have edges if you're using this mod. Can you use a more up to date mod which removes the edges?

eg

Not long after the last update to this mod, I was unable to access a computer for many months. Before I went away, I posted on the official keen forum to see if someone could take over the mod, but I don't think that's actually possible with steam workshop? So the mod had to be abandoned.

Now that I'm back, I have very little interest in SE because it's still not much more than a tech demo riddled with bugs
Cypress 1. aug. 2016 kl. 15:49
Update - Seems the edges are appearing between the 1 x 2 slope blocks and the rest of the blocks. Or between 1 x 2 slope blocks and other sets of 1 x 2 slope blocks - i.e. a 2 x 4 ramp will have an edge halfway down.
Cypress 1. aug. 2016 kl. 15:46
Hm, seems to have added edges where there were none before. I'm seeing edges in weird places now. Any suggestions?
OhLordDante 6. mar. 2016 kl. 18:56
Works great!
bigbadvoodoodady_1 19. feb. 2016 kl. 17:46
Does this take off the edges on existing structures that used the stock blocks? (Hoping it does)
Visentinel 14. juli 2015 kl. 8:49
Here you go guys made a new one to include all those new blocks

can you cut the edges off the new armour blocks, the half 2x1 blocks etc.
Weighted Sensory Kitty 22. juni 2015 kl. 14:15
@ishKiia Do you have DirectX 11 enabled? if so, disable it and see if it gives you the error
ishKiia 17. juni 2015 kl. 23:59
love this mod! but I get this wall of text like this with errors.. please fix, it's awesome!

Hello,

Is this mod DirectX 11 compatible? The developers just added DX11 today.
dRuPpI 19. maj 2015 kl. 7:02
will there be a update for the new blocks??? added in version 01.071 pls do it :)
void catgirl rglx 23. apr. 2015 kl. 20:39
I put together a fix for the 2x1x1 sloped armors here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=430945157
I didn't add fixes for the other version of this mod, but if people start asking I might.
jb_aero 20. apr. 2015 kl. 18:21
@dontstoplivin make sure this one is higher on your mod list than anything else that might modify armor blocks.
JogiWanKenobi 14. apr. 2015 kl. 22:42
Could you please update this mod? :/ it doesn't seem to have any effects to the (more or less) new sloped blocks.
Sausage 8. apr. 2015 kl. 11:10
Love this mod. Thanks for it.

Still getting edges on the new angled blocks, rounded ones seem okay (but I have never seen rounded armour blocks without your mod loaded).
urablahblah 18. mar. 2015 kl. 9:10
Any plans to add the new sloped blocks to this mod?
MikeCDAMMIT1990 6. mar. 2015 kl. 8:48
if you could make this mod compatible with this mod! No heavy camo. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=385764835 . you'd be a legend amongst men!
dontstoplivin 4. mar. 2015 kl. 10:12
Not sure why, but I can't get your mod to work. I add it to the mod list of my world, but all the blocks still have edges when I load it up.
Shepard (KeGGeR) 3. mar. 2015 kl. 11:22
My armor ramp parts still have edges.
Mattacon 27. feb. 2015 kl. 13:50
The replacement does not affect the new rounded armor anymore (at least in my game instance).
Baleur 21. feb. 2015 kl. 6:40
Can you load "vanilla" savegames and workshop ships with this mod applied, or will all the vanilla armor blocks disappear?
infal  [ophavsmand] 18. feb. 2015 kl. 20:37
I've updated the mod to make the new rounded and angled armor blocks edgless. Let me know if there are any problems.
Zavokh 13. feb. 2015 kl. 7:18
Please update this mod with the rounded armor blocks!
joemorin73 13. feb. 2015 kl. 7:06
Will you update this to include the new rounded armor?
ChromaToast 12. feb. 2015 kl. 7:14
Very nice. This is my second favorite mod, right after armor ramps.
Vinier McNuggNugg 7. feb. 2015 kl. 20:40
the sun seems to cause alot of lag so if you could make it less bright?
Nugget King Curtis 3. feb. 2015 kl. 16:17
Hi i have a request for improveing server quality. It should be a fairly usefull task. I could model all the blocks myself but i would not be able to do the rest as hitboxes and stuff-
What i desire is larger blocks so the amount of blocks don't affect simspeed that much:
I would like to heave large surface Heavy/light armor blocks: Sizes square: 9x9 6x6 3x3
rectangle 2x3 2x6 2x9
Instead of a player placeing 81 induvidual blocks it can just place a 9x9 block- still able to build lagre ships/stattions without straining a server too much in the form of blocks.
waht can be tricky is to get the hitbox properly- i would be willing to donate for blocks like this
Sandboxer 13. jan. 2015 kl. 10:04
oh yeah I am making this cool ring ship using the armor ramps and the edges are so ugly. Thanks Man!
Tiger 7. dec. 2014 kl. 8:20
THANK YOU for this mod! As last, no more stupid edge lines crisscrossing my ships... and everything blends perfectly with the must-have Armor Ramps mod.

Can't imagine SE without this mod anymore. Thanks again, and have another good rating. :)

Hi infAI the Ragnarok V1 is ready :dragonrider: ;)
Learza 17. nov. 2014 kl. 8:36

DeAnti 13. nov. 2014 kl. 19:17
I love this mod 10/10 man
Dan2D3D  [udvikler] 11. nov. 2014 kl. 6:16
Hi infAI ! Your Mod is one of the staring mods I used for my new creation THANK YOU!
You are in the description here : :letsgo: ASA EXPLORER
Neonin 6. nov. 2014 kl. 9:29
My god... a small change but such a massive difference, all my ships look cleaner and smoother than ever before! Thank you for this, however easy it might have been to do it has made a great improvement to my SE experience! :D
Greyson XMG 1. nov. 2014 kl. 20:50
'wouldn't expect any significant performance gains.'. Bull... Made a world of difference for me.

Smashingly good idea... This mod is, for me, a keeper.
Nioreux 20. okt. 2014 kl. 13:33
thats nice
GCVos 18. okt. 2014 kl. 15:42
Thank you so much for this mod! We used it to its full potential for our District 9 ships (in the workshop). :D Glad it also works flawlessly with other mods.
Dan2D3D  [udvikler] 18. okt. 2014 kl. 0:15
No I still have work to do on it and will publish 3 version V.1 no rotore-pistons...V.2 with moving arms...V.3 Full interior with........it's a secret. ;)
I have 2 videos one with WIP screenshots and another video with moving arms test in my profile if you want to watch.
Thank you will publish soon ;)
infal  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2014 kl. 0:10
@Dan2D3D; Looks awesome! I couldn't see it on workshop when I searched 'ragnarok'. Is it on workshop?
infal  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2014 kl. 0:05
@Leto, yeah no probs. This mod only really changes the showedges setting to false. There's nothing special and no custom artwork etc that I have created so me claiming any kind of ownership rights would feel a little childish.
If other modders can take what I hacked out in 5 minutes and put it towards something better, I support that 100%!
Dan2D3D  [udvikler] 15. okt. 2014 kl. 12:44
Hi infAI thank you for this:5Star: I'm using your mod for the Ragnarok and works perfectly : Ragnarok with your mod
I will add you in the description :5Star::5Star::5Star::5Star::5Star:

I am the creator of the CloakDevice Mod. All "hull mods" (like this one) doesn't work with my cloaking device currently.

May i take your CubeBlocks.sbc files - modify them and release them with the CloakDevice Mod - so your hull gets cloaked too?
(I just need the definitions)
LookAtMyHorse 28. sep. 2014 kl. 15:31
ramp(not armor slope) consist of 50 more polys that cube with edges(kinda okay)
what bugs me out is that ramp made of 4 Parallelepipeds of different length and only then relief parts that we see on it applied ontop of them
again ramp does not deform
infal  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2014 kl. 15:24
@LookAtMyHorse The ramp is a different topology to cubes, unless you mean the armor slope?
For armor blocks, each face is a seperate model file and only the faces that are visible are rendered via, I assume, some sort of iso surface extraction algorithm. With the Ramp and other complex models, I think all faces are always rendered (except for backface culling) regardless of what is beside it. So blocks like ramps, interior walls etc will always be more demanding on GPU than armor blocks, even if you were to simplify them.
