We've entered California. /s
soft field where players can shoot each other without it resulting in death. Does this mod allow for that in any way?
Personally I wouldn't hope for b42 that much, if anything I expect the worst regarding its release date aka dec 31st, 2024 lololo. That plus all the old mods getting compatibility problems, it is just a mess to think about even, better not to dwell in it I guess.
I've been patiently waiting for B42 before I give the mod any updates, since I am not sure about how it will break mods. My apologies to all who had suggestions posted but not replied to.
@Terlet
That's a good suggestion for MP servers, I will find a way to do it as a sandbox options so people can choose whether to have it on or not.
@Hunter of souls
It's a BB gun, it's supposed to do no damage.
@Blake 9240
I did not add a recipe for crafting shells as a balancing measure, as the BB shotgun shells level your aiming really, really fast. They can only be found in boxes at the moment.
@>)
I'm not sure about how I'd go about making it compatible, and since b42 is seemingly around the corner, might as well wait before I commit to it.
To all that asked for an additional mod, with these models as real guns, I might get on that as well.
Hope ya'll are having fun.
Could you ever consider giving a Paintball mod... a shot?
I don't think you should want to remove them, in real life its required for replica firearms to have that as a distinction to real weapons, so it makes perfect sense and it's a nice detail to see it in this mod.
The range is significantly lower than firearms. You can check the end of the video for an example.
BB pistols should be quiet enough that firring them inside a house will barely even alert zombies inside.
That could be something added in a future update, do you have any suggestions for the recipe?
@EgyptianGuard
I looked at that mod's code and it seems like both are compatible. While they do have their own BB Guns with their own specific weapon code, they allow you to level up aiming with any ranged weapon as well, so my BB guns should work.
@Soldier 107
Do you mean a regular firearm mod, or just the M16A1 as a BB gun?
Thank you for asking! Feel free to add the mod to your server's modpack, I appreciate the credit.
Hope everyone enjoys it!
Spawn rates have been re-balanced and Sandbox options have been added so now you are able to set a spawn multiplier to each BB gun. Thank you for the suggestion!
@LOCC-luisdamo
Spawn locations have been adjusted. Thank you for the suggestion!
No problem!
@msmr
Yeah, ain't they neat?
I have just tested the mod alongside Brita's Weapon Pack/Arsenal Gunfighter and it seems like both mods are not compatible.
While the game won't be broken, all weapons for my mode will become "extra-full auto" and fire ludicrously fast.Unless you are into that, I would not recommend having both mods enabled in the same playthrough.
Thanks for the suggestion. I actually had completely overlooked that toy shops existed so that is definitely going to be changed in the next update. I however, did have the BB guns have a higher chance of spawning in other environments where children are present.
My thought process for having them spawn at gun stores would be that since they were just becoming a thing in 1993, people would have seen them more as an alternative to having you child shooting a firearm, so still bought them at gun-stores. (it's kentucky, who am I kidding, people would have just let their kids shoot guns anyway lol).
@Leafec
Can't wait until the bell rings and I can shoot my friends in the eye with rubber balls.
@Gabester
Thank you for the love!
@BrotherHurb
Yeah, once you get to know the guns you will see that each of them is a bit different from the other in terms of accuracy and capacity. I made the AK74 as a mid-cap so it would balance its atrocious accuracy.
A little suggestion, maybe they should spawn in toy shops very rarely, intead of gunshops, unless they are those small game hunting lead pellet bbguns, i do have to note that I don´t know whow those things wor in the US, there are no gun shops with bbguns in my country.
Still, cool mod
Thanks for the kind words, and suggestion. Batteries are a planned feature, alongside GAS to power some of the other weapons.
I am not sure of the feasibility of it, but I will look into adding those features to the mod!
