special military unit should be gulaman-ı saray or hassa

Love the civ, the only peeve I have is how similar their border colors are to the Greeks.

Haven't tried it yet, but everything seems refined and I'm sure this is a pretty quality civ, thank you.
Seljuk's came into my mind while I was looking to mod pretty weak generic caravansary building.
I came to think that Caravansary should not be generic, as its history is too unique for that. Therefore replacing it with a generic Inn building, then adding existing Caravansary (with strong bonuses) to another Civ as UB seemed the best solution. That naturally led me to Seljuks, I think they are the most suitable civ for such an UB, as they carry both Turkic and Persian features, as Caravansary does. So just to share my idea, really loved your work on UI.

Nice work. Thanks.

Yes, sorry, forgot about the no-fresh-water.
DJSHenninger  [author] 18 Jan, 2015 @ 9:24am
I've no idea, they don't expire. You can't build them next to eachother or on flood plains, just flat desert.
JEELEN 18 Jan, 2015 @ 9:11am
@davey_henninger Ummm, OK. Why can't I build Nizammiyahs anymore? Do they expire?
DJSHenninger  [author] 18 Jan, 2015 @ 3:05am
@JEELEN The Camel Archer is kind of one of the strongest replacements though. But this is an earlier replacement, yeah. You could also say that, because the camel archer is a knight replacement, it is supposed to be a late-medieval version of the actual camel archer, which is later than the Seljuqs.
JEELEN 17 Jan, 2015 @ 1:10am
@davey_henninger Cleared cache, Seljuks showing up properly now. Btw, you do realize the Seljuk Ascari is weaker than the Arab camel archer? And the Seljuks appeared after the Arab rise. Nizaamyah looks cool though. ;)

@davey_henninger No, I always play Giant map. And I agree it's strange. Also a pity as I'd love to play the Seljuks.
DJSHenninger  [author] 24 Oct, 2014 @ 8:25am
@JEELEN That's strange. How can they appear when they're not a playable civ? The four maps supported are: Huge Earth, Giant Earth, Cordiform Earth and Greatest Earth, which I believe shows up as Large Earth. You may have chosen a map not supported. Either that, or you didn't download the patch as in the description. If that's the case, then they shouldn't pop up at all.

I just tried and could choose the Seljuqs just fine. I started in Iran, as intended (Large Earth/Greatest Earth).
JEELEN 24 Oct, 2014 @ 7:13am
Tried several times on YnAEMP, but doesn't show up as a playable civ. The only time the Seljuk did appear, thye popped up in Namibia...

@revan9876 There's still the case of 'balance'; people will probably consider it 'OP' (overpowered). +7 is the max you can currently get, which is higher than most other UIs.
Yelu Renliang 23 Aug, 2014 @ 6:26am
Yes you're right. Unfortunately many artists depict him as a Middle Easterner
DJSHenninger  [author] 23 Aug, 2014 @ 6:24am
@Buyeo Jun of Shanghai My main point was that I couldn't find usable Alp Arslan art, either low quality or just his head. I actually meant a bit more detailed depictions than those, but thanks.
DP182Nowaza 23 Aug, 2014 @ 5:43am
@davey_henninger cool. i get it now
DJSHenninger  [author] 23 Aug, 2014 @ 5:34am
@nowazaisdp182 Yields explained here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13154844&postcount=4 For example, Ancestor worship would provide +1 Culture etc.
@Buyeo Jun of Shanghai There's no actual depiction of Alp Arslan, they're all artist impressions. Try to find an appropriate image. You can't possibly know how they looked like anyway lol. I also think Civ V's leader art is not sophisticated enough to show advanced facial features. Most look like caricatures such as Bismarck.
DP182Nowaza 22 Aug, 2014 @ 11:24pm
Need examples of what these 'yields' are. Are they liek happiness or faith? What exatly is it?
Yelu Renliang 22 Aug, 2014 @ 11:01pm
The ruler class of Seljuqs were Turkic people who had Mongoloid face features. But The portraits I've seen here just look Persian and Middle Eastern. Totally fail :(
Miath 22 Aug, 2014 @ 6:26pm
The Seljuk's were only Persian in the sense that they controlled Persia, it was an entirely Turkic government body.
Tim Walz's Horse 18 Aug, 2014 @ 6:32am
I understand. After comparing I can agree. Thanks for the reply.
DJSHenninger  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 6:31am
I know, but it's still different enough if you check this pic:

Also, there are so many mods and civs it's hard to choose a color combination that doesn't look similar to another civ. I could, at best, try to change the white/silver color to a more silver-blue-ish color.
Tim Walz's Horse 18 Aug, 2014 @ 6:12am
You may want to change there color a bit, it looks a little to similar to Greece's.
DJSHenninger  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 12:36am
Thank you! I really like it too, being able to determine the yields by yourself. Also the fact that it may change is interesting. Even if you can't found a religion, you can wait for missionaries/prophets of other religions.
DJSHenninger  [author] 17 Aug, 2014 @ 3:12am
thanks

Great leader pic!
