im sorry, i love the pack, but the Parks and Forestry vehicles are either awefully colored. I know youre going for what the real vehicles were colored like, but they were closer to a Teal Green rather than this color that feels almost like Baby Blue

Most certainly will be updated to B42, unsure when as i hope to make B42 version using the animated filis which might take some time to remake it all

Hopefully this mod will be updated for Build 42, it is one of my favorite mods. Please, when possible, I would love you to update it :)

1. No, they spawn in random towns as specifc towns script is not present in this version of the mod
2. It probably would be once town specific spawns are added, still thinking as to how to approach that issue once it arrises but again, not a problem since town specific spawns are not a thing right now

a few questions I have are

1. do the vehicles spawn in the appropriate towns, and not in random towns

2. If so, is it possible to disable specific departments if you don't currently have the map related to that department?

Understood. Thanks for the heads up. It seems most mods involving Fili's Cars aren't compatible with the Animated version at the moment.

@Fasterman5 no it wont work sorry, mainly due changes in script files and names between the two version

But just to be clear, i do want to port all my current and future addons to that animated version eventually but its unlikely to happen before B42 in case mods get broken

Hey Jan, I just have one last question: Will this work with the newest version of Filibuster Cars (the animated one)? I haven't actually tried out the mod yet as I have not gotten around to making a character with all of the mods I'd like to use, so I'm uncertain if they are compatible. Thanks again!

@Fasterman5 Hello and good evening, always nice to talk with someone that likes my mods and answer their questions
1. Yes, town specific spawns is something i absolutely do consider, right now only sort of two roadblocks to that is: firstly, im not entirely sure as of now as to how i would handle dealing with issue of workshop maps, will i add extra submods to get town specific spawns for those running or maybe something else? Secondly, its just me not being that savvy in coding, although i do have few folks in STFR team which might help with that
2. While script wise it would be much faster, turning all skins into just retextures would also come at several drawbacks like removing unique sirens assigned to the cars of respective departments, forcing me into only one type of lightbar texture (and also no more slicktops)

Hi there, I'm brand new to Zomboid but I've been extremely allured to Filibuster's Used Cars for a while now. I am a sucker for Vanilla + and I am glad to have found your mod, especially with the added benefit of providing vehicles for modded towns. I however have noticed one question that has been repeated numerous times, as well as some advice I found in the comments. I realize that you are working on something else right now, but will adding each livery type to each town and area be something you are considering in the future? I also saw that someone mentioned adding these cars as just skins instead of new vehicles for efficiency's sake. Is that something that's worth doing too?

Partially out of time restraint and partially due to nature of KI5 textures means they're hard to modify with my limited abilities and programs i use

You do realise this game's Knox County is in Kentucky and not Ohio right? Both Louisville and Muldraugh are real towns and very much in Kentucky... Riverside is named after Riverside Gardens in Louisville...

Perhaps at some point you could add the vehicles as simply just skins, it would allow the game to manage which vehicle skins show where. Atm rosewood vehicles could spawn in Louisville, however if the vehicles were just skins then only Louisville would spawn in Louisville.

@Snip13r police cars in my mod use variety of sirens ranging from FedSig to Whelen and even Scientific Prototypes, you're gonna have to be more specific

p.s. also touchmaster is already part of the mod

@Jan2004p Realized that I can add this to an existing save since I already have the Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars mod since the beginning so the new liveries are spawning in normally.

Also, would you be open to changing the siren on the police vehicles? IIRC it's a Whelen 295HFSA6, and I don't think it was in existence around the 1990s - the Federal Signal Touchmaster would be more accurate to police vehicles of that era IRL

1. Its safe but they can only have chance to spawn in areas you've never been to, so i personally wouldn't recommend
2. Military Police is part of this mod, it just didn't have images of them included on this workshop page

The other KES mod is ONLY military police as few folks didn't want to wait for full release (this mod) that would have included those

@BaloneyBoy i learned not to give specific date because i suck at those, best estimation i can get is that i fixed some bugs and more or less finished Chestown vehicles

Now that still leaves few things i still wanna add but..yeah hope that narrows it down

I really enjoy having this mod with the added variety in emergency vehicles (alongside the mod that adds in government vehicles too like FBI or DEA); love that it even covers the fictional locations added by others in the Workshop.

Hope you didn't mind that I made and sent a compatibility patch to the guy behind this mod that complements Better Car Physics ; makes handling these vehicles much better with BCP installed.

Only now noticed your reply to my "lowering volume of the siren comment".

I would suggest and I personally think it would be a good idea to lower the volume of the sirens.

Compared to default vehicle sirens etc. it just seems way too loud

@icha no, as i've already answered that requiers making town specific spawn lua file that i have no know how as to how it works so i won't be able to do it on my own

BUT, i can tell with certainty that town specific spawns update will be a thing at some point part of the mod, i made some inquieres about this from more code experienced folks but not for now

Honestly i had to re-read what you said like couple of times

I believe what happend was, seeing as you mentioned KESVpack instead of KESVpackR(emake) i guess you were using the old, unsupported and soon to be deleted original KES which was, indeed, deleted off the workshop a while back

but i don't see how'd that brick your game lol, save that was running it sure, but game? nah
