I always resorted to just farming on fishman island for my rice. yield wasn't perfect, but it was enough for sake production and trade with nearby Catun.

@Raiko Hydroponics is a Tier-5 technology that requires you to have to loot at least several ancient labs to get the necessary research artifacts, even if you're speedrunning towards that tech.
This mod is for those of us who can't be arsed to wait that long and just want to be able to grow some damn rice without needing to resort to living in the spider and lag-infested hellscape that is the swamps.
