As of yesterday's game update, if I leave this mod enabled I get insects that are completely immune to damage. Strangely, it was the "Hungry Pests" event with Starving Skarabei that is affected, even though that's not covered by the mod.

Regardless, with this mod enabled, I cannot damage the Starving Skarabei. They are completely immune to my attacks. Disabling the mod resolves the issue. I confirmed by enabling and disabling the mod multiple times while still killing them. They simply are unkillable if this mod is active.

Have you considered adding the "hungry pests" insect varieties to this mod as well? I sometimes get several hundred starving skarabei when that events spawns.

Thank you for hinting me to check the butcher resources! I have just made an update to the animals so that they will now drop 2-5 times more Raw Insect Meat based on their level.

I did consider making them level up to level 10 but decided against this because I don't think the game difficulty would scale high enough for these creatures to spawn interesting waves.

Great mod. Hope it can also drop 2-5 times more meat since it has higher HP and damage. Also, hope it can go up to LVL 10 for both Sakarabei and Hummingfly. Thank you.

Also critters are easy to control with a pulse weapon but flyers are a different category I was watching someone playing on insane to get some pointers before Saltu update, 6 people at the start with some crossbows not even all of them vs 40 flyers he needed a few reloads to pass.

Testing attacks is not difficult. I have already done this, and the damage that the leveled-up creatures dealt felt in sync with the existing balance. However, combat balance involves so many numbers that it's hard to grasp all its dimensions without making many extensive playthroughs. At this stage, I think I've killed millions of bugs in Stranded...

Having roofs on top of towers is a really interesting idea. Strangely, it has never been raised so far.

it was just an outsider observation, I hung up my weapons I am playing just barely dangerous playthroughs now. The crawlers will get stopped in the sea of traps flyers have the ability to bypass defenses and since they mostly target survivors a 3level flyer will be harder to deal with than 3x normal flyers.

Would be easily tested with a spawn wave button though, you got the "connections" to make that happen :wink .
Also towers could really use a roof if u ask me since we talk about flyers. Now the strat is to make a shack with 3 walls,preferably with at least a stone or wooden roof to deal with them.

I was wondering what the proper balance would be, Paraleo. These values are challenging to adjust without undergoing multiple long playthroughs.

Do you feel that the waves of leveled-up creatures are harder to defeat than the original ones?

One observation, agree with the health changes, but seeing as the upgraded creatures have time to actually make more damage due to higher health not sure if damage increase should be as high, especially for the flyers.

We are aware that there is an issue, and we have been actively working to address it. We have already made multiple changes to mitigate the problem over the released updates and we continue to make improvements.

In fact, this mod you see is my personal experiment on the topic.

This MOD is really good. I suggested to the game company a long time ago that the quantity is not important, just upgrade the monsters. If there are too many, it will cause LAG...but they have been ignoring this matter
