To be fair the marauder helmet doesn't look as bad as the protectorate helmet, but it really ruins immersion when the protectorate armour is so blatantly anthropomorphic looking. I don't see why they couldn't just make an optional mod to keep them or remove them and then this wouldn't be a problem

By me not having the kindest words to say do you mean when I wrote:

Because I have not spoken to the EHA dev in over a year or more than once ever, I do not know who this Echo person is, nor have I ever talked about the subject outside of this comment thread after the mod was released.

Also they are not "furry" helmets, they are literal furry helmets because the mod creator literally screenshotted the 3D model of a furry artist online and then added it to the game, the artist is credited in the .xml files.

When we removed the "furry" helmets, Echo wanted to make a joke mod based off of this, bringing back the eared helmets instead of removing them, and Klaus didn't have the kindest words to say.

As retaliation, we put them back.

@dommygutman I can't link them as steam doesn't allow it but if you were to explore the "Enhanced Armaments" folder and go to Jobgear > armor.xml the author has linked the assets as comments in his code.

Yes, that is what this is, a patch.
This mod still requires you to be subscribed to EHA as you can see in the description, it only has the three sprites and the override XML for EHA.

And no the sprites were not gifted to him, they were mostly 3D assets sourced from a website converted 2D.

I don't think any of you mean ill but you do not know the story or have been conveyed an incredibly altered and one sided version of it.

Instead of uploading a new mod you would have been better off just making a "patch" for EHA that requires the base mod. Then nobody is hurt.

EHA guy usually wants to be left alone so thats probably part of why he got upset.
But either way if you look at the comments in the code im fairly sure the sprites were made for him and gifted to him.

The dude argued that the helmets were not furry sprites, while sourcing them from quite literal twitter furry artists. Me being a "dick" is his fragile ego collapsing for being accused to be a furry.

If this has somehow made it so he is changing the furry sprites on his own, it's a big W.

Just to let you guys know this creator told the original content creator to shove it and started being a dick towards him another Barotrauma mentor. And now this mod is about to be outdated already, End of story.
