@DragonNTigerZ it was an abandoned fortress for a long time until outlaws started settling there. They built a bar, thieves came and occupied a restored tower, the walls and gates have been restored and you got the little hut with goodies in it that wasn't obliterated to begin with, as it still contains a copy of the Holy Flame.

From a lore perspective, this fortress has been further restored and transformed into a proper town/city, instead of just being left in perpetual disrepair without your intervention specifically. I'm all for affecting the world of Kenshi through my own actions, but I'd prefer if the world went on without me too, rather than staying the same forever. This mod doesn't do that exactly, but it gives you the feel that things are happening even when you ain't there. It's pretty good.

Really not a fan of the Hub here... like others have said, it's way too chaotic. Whatmore, isn't the lore of the Hub that it's an abandoned fortress? Not a lawless city? Would love a version with the vanilla Hub intact.

Hola! un comentario random en español, solo para denotar una cosa, la idea de la guerra de bandas en el ¨Meollo¨ (The Hub en ingles) ME ENCANTA! se puede sentir el caos de vivir un punto de infeccion para lo peor de cada grupo social de kenshi, es interesante la presion con la que estan constantemente, En concepto me gusta la idea, en la ejecusion funciona como un punto de inicio definitivamente no un lugar en el que quieras quedarte mucho tiempo, como la economia en esa area no es tan relavante luego de un tiempo en el juego, lo hace el punto idoneo para este tipo de eventos de cuenta regresiva, excelente trabajo!:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup::mhwgood:

Solo me gustaria que Reactive world funcionada bien con esto, pero creo que no sera el caso.:steamsad:

Just cuz its intended doesnt make it less shit
the towns are marvellous
but the death of shopkeepers and alike sux big time
kenshi is just not made for that
its not dynamic like that
its a foreverwar that just sux and brings nothing but annoyance

Yeah the Hub is.... Chaos. Way to many Syndicates, they keep leaving their base and murdering the entire city. It's a nice idea, but if you stay in the area for more than a week, half of everyone is dead.

For me there's too much bloodshed in the Hub, it's simply dysfunctional. All merchants, bartenders - killed. My dear shinobi thieves also have asses kicked. Constant massacre, and limitless valuable loot which makes it easy to bag a ton of money early. I would like some chaos, but not to the extent of city ceasing to be a city at all.

Wow, not only do you have a compatible modpack, this mod is fantastic. Great work. I just wish Reactive world or alive world would play well without fail.

My mod list shows this greyed out and says I am missing dependent mods and referenced mods but then it is unreadable what is missing. I only have one other mod active and its just a thirty character group with gear starting at the hub.

Just wanted to say excellent mod, all four cities truly feel alive, and a world of their own to explore and stay in, all major cities deserve your ideas and touch-up, excited to see what you will come up for World's End, Tech Hunter cities need love too!

This last update was the final version of Bark, Flats Lagoon, Heng and The Hub, so I plan no further update for these towns.

@TKrazy thanks for the update man. Ive been playing this mod for years and always really loved it. Definitely wanted to take out the syndicate before. I'm doing a new playthrough now and figured I would do it when I got strong enough but they ended up kidnapping two of my members so I was like fuck it. I got to go in and take these guys out. It was a really tough fight since we were low level. But it was really satisfying going and rescuing all the prisoners. There was a holy nation outlaw girl who was in the cannibal food thing yelling and screaming the whole time who lost all her limbs that I rescued from the brink of death and she joined me. Now she has nice robotic limbs lol. Good bit of roleplay. Super fun and great to have the world state reflect taking those sketchy syndicate guys out. Now I can buy bloodrum from that bar too! I appreciate all the work you've done on this mod. It's my favorite town expanding mod. All four locations are excellent!

@charlie.hall.0111 I added a new World State for Skyscrap that defeats The Syndicate faction if you take out its leader. The Hub will then become a more peaceful place

I just wanted to say that I really admire this mod, the amount of thought in environmental storytelling put into it is just outstanding. Other town mods just plop down buildings into something resembling a fortified town, but I really like how yours tell a story of each town's culture as well.

In Flats Lagoon are the Cyber Punks suppose to attack the Tech Hunters? They started doing this around day 40 and have made the entire town a warzone and have almost killed all the Tech Hunters.

@Pico you're welcome to make your own balance tweaks. The high stats NPCs and rewards aim to add some late game challenge to certain towns.

I have some concerns about the balance of this mod compared to vanilla. There's a very large amount of new research artifacts added to shops, and some NPCs have incredibly high stats. Once I have properly explored the modified towns, I might make a balance tweak if that's not an issue.

Does this mod change anything in Sho-Battai?
All my buildings are doubled and when I check them with F12 half of them are from this mod and the other half from another mod.
I checked most other cities and none have any issues, just Sho-Battai.
Hub and Flat's Lagoon are beautifully done.
I would really love to have your mod as part of my permanent colltection.

I have tested this mod with Reactive World, and it works fine. When the Shek Kingdom takes over the get the new storm shelter and make it their HQ, the casino and bar that is inside the old Hub becomes ruins for sale but other then that the town seems to stay the same

@Kifyi The Syndicate and the Fallen Gang are set to be on a stalemate in The Hub. Their spawns regenerate to set up a long-term gang war between factions.

Are the fallen paladins supposed to be fighting the holy nation outlaws and trade ninjas? Cause they keep fighting them. Have imported my save game, using Reactive World/Living world (with patch).

Furthermore, is there a way for one or the other of the Fallen Paladins or the Syndicate to "win"?

@Etyloppih This is most likely a mod incompatibility issue, there are more details in other comments in this thread. Also, you need to import your game save after disabling the mod so the buildings and NPCs reset and that should fix it.
