I just want to give you a short update on a known issue that was reported to me, about the passive perk icon appearing multiple times when being on the sector map.
I did some further investigation and discovered, that the icon might get added multiple times to your action bar as soon as you activate some mod through the mod-manager during the same active client session. Doesn't matter which mod. This operation will cause a complete reload of all mods and therefore the passive display icon will be added multiple times to the runtime library. I have to do some further investigation on how to avoid this, but I can assure already, that it's only a display issue. The functionality of the passive perk itself is independent from its display and should work as intended.
Nevertheless for the time being a client restart after adding new mods will fix this problem till i found a more elegant code-wise solution.
Thanks a lot again for reporting this to me

I just deployed the necessary update for the official Jagged Alliance Patch Version 1.1.0 for "Mildred". Please make sure to update your mod to the latest version (1.04-203). You can check the current mod version you have installed in your Mod-Manager.
As far as I'm aware, this update should be fully compatible with existing saves. I just tested my own save and everything seams to work as expected. Nevertheless, if you are encountering any unexpected issue related to the merc after you updated it, just drop me a short message here and I will have a look at it. Thank you in advance!
I hope you enjoy your time!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!
@DabHand: Currently I'm working on the custom perk update for "Hector". When everything works out as expected and my testing is finished I am going to release it tonight as well. Next thing afterwards on my Todo-List would be to rework the Voice-Set of "Annie" which should be fully compatible with existing save games. I hope this answers your question.
Enjoy your Weekend!

Late game she should be holding a training camp, be a cheap gofer or be fired.
If anything I would lower her wages maybe, make sure she is always the cheapest at her lvl as well.
She is perfect for a 'useless run', like how back in the day ppl would take over arulco with gasket gumpy flo and biff, or some other mix of seemingly amateure. One of the best merc mods around. Tired of all these guys in their 80's all around...
@dragonscale:
I'm very thankful, that you tested out Mildred's Perk in more detail and provided me some actual data about her progression and gameplay-feeling that somehow corresponds with my own experiences from my current playthrough.
Most of my Mercs are already sitting almost at 100 HP and I just entered the Midgame-Phase. So books are starting to stack up already. Especially when you take into account you have at least one additional Merc grinding the hell out of the book stores at the fleamarket as well. Changing from the skillmag to a Medivarion each 14 days sounds like a great idea to solve this issue and it will still provide something useful for late game.
I will also take a closer look on her progression as well when i finished my playthrough with her. I really like to keep her as a level 1 merc but i see your point. I'll think about it in more detail.
Thank you very much, really appreaciate your feedback and testing time on my Mercs
Greetings Otherguy
I'm happy to let you know, that I just dropped a major update for "Mildred". She received 130 individual custom voicelines in english language and will talk to you from now on with her own voice. The voice update is compatible with all existing savegames and she should talk as soon as your mod version updates.
But there is more:
I took a first dive into the perk system and created a new custom perk for her called "Bookworm". It will grant a skill magazine "An Apple A Day" every 7 days of ingame time. Please note, that this change will have no effect to any existing saves. This is caused by the fact, that the game is saving all "current traits" of a merc within the gamestate itself. This makes perfect sense, because the player will add new traits over the playthrough time when Mercs advance and level up. In consequence, this change of her default trait will only take place in new games you are going to start in future.
I hope you enjoy the update!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!
@Dragonscale: Oh that's a pity, i didn't noticed that. Currently i'm working on the voice lines for all of my Mercs but after i finished them, my plan is to take a deeper dive into the perk creation.
To be more direct: I plan to give each of my Mercs a new custom perk, anyways. But i have to do some more research for this before to create the perks in a way, that they will not interfere with and overwrite other base game functions. I really want to keep my Mods self sustaining - without any dependencies to other things. I think this is an importent decision in the long run when it comes to future compatibility issues with upcoming patches and game changes.
Anyways, thanks for your hint. I will have a look into her perks as soon as i prepare the next upload for her and change her perk temporarily to something more useful.
Have a great weekend!
Your Otherguy
Mercs!
I treat Mildred, Jerry & Steel as benchmarks! Absolutely love them.
as requested i just deployed a minor update and added in the "Old Dog" trait to her default traits. Please note, that this change will have no effect to any existing saves.
Just some background information why this is the case:
This is caused by the fact, that the game is saving all "current traits" of a merc within the gamestate itself. This makes perfect sense, because the player will add new traits over the playthrough time when Mercs advance and level up. Nevertheless, a change of the default traits is going to affect all new games you are going to start in future.
In addition i added a small vocation icon to the top left of my Merc preview images here on steam to give you some more information about the respective ingame specialization (in her case Medic).
I hope, you are going to enjoy the change in your next playthrough!
Greetings Otherguy.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I really like the idea to add the "Old Dog" trait to her. To be honest, I really forgot about this one during the design process, but i think it will fit her theme perfectly. I will have a look into it but I am not sure, if any trait changes (in this case additions) might affect existing saves.
Nevertheless I'll give it a shot and check if things work out without any problems. If this is the case i'm going to release an update for her in the next couple of hours. I'll drop you another short note here as soon as i tried it out.
Just a short sidenote regarding the questions about the voice lines:
I'm already working on the custom voice sets (in english) for each of my merc and will update them in as soon as modding allowes.
Enjoy your weekend, Your Otherguy.
What's her blue trait? The one that Thor has that makes medicine?
