Removing this mod fixed the problem.
Might be a script collision? Idk.

LOL! Well, the spectacularly explode bit is definitely this mod then :) But, why they are exploding is not. This mod is purely only calling explosion graphics already in the game code. It is not changing anything to do with what might be causing the ships to explode.

I don't know if its this mod or some combination of this with other mods I'm running, but having this active in an X4-Reemergence game causes ships built in a warf within the pilot's reality bubble to spontaneously and spectacularly explode as soon as they start.

This game would suck so much more if it wasn't for all the awesome mods available.
The developers must assume that decent explosion graphics are over-rated and unnecessary :steamfacepalm:

Great mod, i always think that a mix of realism and cinematic effect is best when doing space explosions, ideally my opinion would be to have the same explosions which are over really quick, as the lack of air sucks up any Fire.

Not too difficult because it uses assets that are already available in game. I already did add missile trails, however it's not in this mod. It's added as part of my Replenish Missiles mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3008031892&tscn=1696154812

How difficult was this to make? Would it be possible to add a visible smoke trail to missiles to make space messier in battle and make missiles more obvious?

It depends on object size in a general sense. Stations, capitals, others. It's not dynamic based exactly on individual object size as it's not possible for the scaling of an effect to be calculated as a variable after game start.

Question: Are the explosions dependig to object size? Or from where comes the explosion dimensions? Of course a S-class ship explosion isn't as big as a station explosion? Can you give some technicals/explanation pls?

I can look into station modules next. You want even bigger ship explosions?! Well, in my Stealth Bomber mod I have nuclear torpedoes. Check that out maybe :)

You're welcome! The effects are assets that already exist in the game, just used elsewhere and for other intended uses. Nothing imported from outside that might be higher pologons than the X4 devs intended. So far in my use there has been no peformance impact. Game is still CPU-bound as ever :)

This looks similar to the fire and smoke mod but this one has much more details and debris from larger ships blowing up. Definitely giving this a try and hoping it wont have a huge performance impact in game. Thank you!
