sure if someone wants to pick it up. i suspect its not super hard if you know what you are doing, someone versed could proably do. it in an hour. it would probably take me a week. so i wont be doing it.

Nice mod, I'm playing through all the vanilla factions in RTWR using a different mod every time to keep it it interesting.As The Valerians (Brutii) its good to have town watch and samnite mercs to build a more Greco-Roman army.Had an interesting time taking Carthage, got attacked by a full stack of Generals which i reckon is because Carthage is split into three the AI didnt have enough money to create a proper army so family members kept spawning, anyway it took two battles before i could actually assault the city. iv'e noticed that the generals commentary is confusing as fighting various factions they get referred to as another Roman faction or the Selucids or Macedon or what ever, i guess this is a by product of the amount of new factions, some of the new unit cards have peasant icons despite me playing on realistic, alot of them seem to be ok though,
any chance of an RTRIS re-skin for the units?

nothe original author my say it was intentional, but No, its not intentional from my point of view.

to correct this, you need to go in and add a spy/diplomat for catiatoi, or do without until someone else does. :lunar2020halodragon::steamthumbsup:

I started with Catiratoi and was not given a diplomat or spy. A spy can only be hired once the city level is up to 4, and a diplomat can only be hired once the city level is up to 5, but during that time, I cannot engage in diplomacy or spy activities. Is this intentional?

hmm i dont know anything about the marian reforms changes, this mod was built on top of rome expanded, so whatever thier settings are for marian reforms is what we've got. best to ask the original author. :steamthumbsup:

Hi there mate, I am doing a campaign with the Romans and the 'Marian Reforms' have not been trigger even after I have built an imperial city with top barracks. I have also tried with the command console but to no avail. Thank you

Any way to fix the unit cards? I've tried both vibrant and realistic and the cards are still peasant?

Love the mod. A little bit of feedback though (and this isn't your fault since you only made this mod here): Roman Seperatists have Hellenic characters only for some reason, making public order a massive issue.

Judean religion is super hard to manage as a conquering nation - lore accurate, but they rebel every few turns even with my best generals and then get gold chevron units.

Seleucid Empire is deservedly strong, but for some reason their armies are basically archers only. It's actually insanely hard to fight them in the campaign - both fun and a little annoying. Maybe tune?

Also, watchtowers should get their range extended quite a bit. Due to the increased movement, it's basically impossible to predict if an army is heading towards you most of the time.

Generally on religion, it'd be cool if there were more buffs to converting settlements. Culture penalty and Governor buildings make it a pain to convert any Level 3+ city, especially if you have to exterminate.

Oh sorry but my question might be answered a long time ago. But I'm new to this mod. should I download or do more file fixing to fix the units pictures? why do I keep getting peasant pictures on some of the other unit pictures? I already did the "realistic" setting thing. should I do more some setting tweaking? or is it normal on the current mod state?

I have a vague idea on why that glitch exists. it might be that the Map can't load either your or the enemy's standard position in a given map due to where you "spawn", which depends on what angle you attack from. so it COULD be a map issue.
also, hi. took a long time off from this mod after it was, what i felt to be, left unfinished. i'm more than happy to return to it once i have the time again

so the mod has a weird glitch where sometimes battles don't seem to load, and soft lock the game.

if that happens you just have to load your last save, and attack from a different angle, i dunno why this happens but it seems to fix the issue:steamfacepalm:

@ Ramz i forget the details but rome did sow division amongst the greek states and pergamum was one of them. i cant seem to find the website that discusses rome's tactics against the greeks.

i think the latest allainces etc were just leftovers fom the conversation i had with Ementy. its just a snapshot in time, and could easily be imporved or changed for a different time period.:steamthumbsup:

When playing as Sparta the Peltasts have the skins of Thrace and the archers have the skins of mercs. I assume this is an error?

@Kirigard only known workaround right now is to save the game at the start of each turn, load that save and play the round as usual. very tedious, but it works

Does this mod slows down recruitment on newly conquered settlements? is this a real successor of the retrofit mod? I really like that mod for its true vanilla feel but it seems it does not get updated anymore.

I think there should be an option to toggle the Greek senate setting for sure. Seems like an interesting mechanic but seems to break with the continuity of the vanilla experience. Or at the very least make it more fragile than the Roman senate subject to more frequent civil wars or x y z if the player is not playing a Greek faction. A lot of possibilities with the Campaign AI in Rome Remaster.

im elbow deep in tw3k mods at the moment. might be a few months before i swing back into RR.

but in principle i agree with these suggestions, if anyone wants to work on this mod while i'm afk just shoot me a message, and i can add you in as an co-author or you can start fresh with a spin-off version of this mod.

I really like that you carry this work with "Expanded"-mod forward. But is it possible, with the lack of updates on the original two mods (retrofit & expanded), that you release a version of your mod without the Greek senate?

It turns out you updated your mod, I’m playing on VH difficulty, now it’s strategy x2, the new balance and religions are testing me and giving me a new impression of the game.
