as when l4d2 is opening it will scan for new addons or updates for your subscribed item

don't put it in the workshop folder that's where you're subscribed items go to

also you don't have to leave the game running

nah just put it in the addons then they will work no need to create a copy

uhh no you just need to extract it and go to your l4d2 to it's steam settings like browse local file and go to a left4dead file and you should find an addon file and put the VPK's inside the addon file

Once I have downloaded it, what should I do after? I have the authoring tools, do I need to use that too?
