Mesoamerica in general could have a lot more provinces and tags. Like adding Cholula, Huexotzingo, Potonchan and Cozcatlan as independent states. It is a historically rich region of the world, I think the currently added provinces are still too little to represent it.

@diskiant I would like to know do you liberately increase the colonial influence so to start the struggle or the struggle occurs naturally? Coz I was playing aztec and thanks tlacaellel I was fXXking op and beat the colonizers very quickly, and I saved up my diplo points for exploration ideas so the colonial influence did not tick so much and it just does not impact my game and I do not earn anything good from reforming except getting fedulism. I just want to see if I am not playing in a right way to enjoy the mod

yeah the colonial influence was never completely finished. I might make it fire only once in a future patch and also fix the bug with the building

Hey ! i just found a little - what i think is a mistake in the mesoamerica_centralized_authority trigger code :

i wonder if the "has_building" part wasn't supposed to be in the OR, and when you have reformed, the building is replaced by a permanent modifier and it's not checked here

Hey there ! I just finished the power struggle and i have some questions :
- My t1 reforms where reset and none was selected, so i re-enacted my previous one (purepecha empire) and the colonial influence mechanic restarted again. Does this mean i will never be able to get rid of those gold modifiers ? Is there some reform path i missed?
The mission tree is quite great nonetheless.
Also i noticed that the power struggle scale does not warn that you must get rid of all rebels for the end event to spawn, and the nahualt tributary is difficult to understand.

I had a blast, thanks for this mod

This is so cool, are you looking at adding anything for the Maya in the future? I've always loved restoring the Mayan Empire but find the mechanics and events really shallow.

if ppl are wondering: just assume its not compatible with a lot of the mods with Expanded in their name, including but not limited to:

Europa Expanded (conflicts with mission tree)
Governments Expanded (conficts with government reforms)
Trade Goods Expanded (conflicts with the new building UI from this mod)

But also Historical World Borders because of the extra provinces added to the Mexico region.

@iamnotwithouttoads, I made myself a personal mod around a month ago (Sorry if this isn't allowed) that mashes up this mod, the South American Expansion mod, the Andean Expansion mod and the Mayan expansion mod, but it could be out of date now that there is an update in December, I can send you a link if you want.

Also, can I ask what was added in the new update? The changelog didn't specify, thanks.

And for the changing of idea it happens for all missions that involves in upgrading idea group. Because the trick is basically to switch the countries current idea group to an updated on but unfortunately the game unable to switch to the updated one and thus it picks the mesoamerican group. ( when I force them not to pick mesoamerican group by the game will pick the general national ideas XDD)...I am not able to solve this one....

I got it ! The expansion does not fire because for the noche triste event it supposed to trigger an even for the event target (colonizer) but there is no number of days stated. After adding the number of days, the event fires and I kciked those spanish out easily because my mil tech is same as them XDD

4. There shall also be a decision by colonizers when there are 5 land colonized near mexico and with 25 spy network, which will trigger aztec event to notify them the conquistador has came and also trigger noche triste. However the problem is that no further thing is triggered to the colonial nation so for an aztec player these two events occurs suddenly when they know nothing about the conquistadors
5. I can also see there are events to gain conqistador and to invade aztec but I cannot find there triggers? Where do you put them? I think if the previous decision will direct lead to a war to aztec or some events that forces aztec to contact with colonizers (like paying 10000ducats to the colonizers, or subjects breaks away and help the ccolonizers) it would be great

Summary of my current findings:
1. The events about the contact between aztec and colonizers are all in general mesoamerica events
2. The arrival of colonizer event is triggered by a global flag, which can be set by different events
3. there shall be an event that would fire when north/south nahuatl nation knows about european nations, but usually fires at around 148X, by ti map mode i spot a castillian colony near the brazilian tribe...I copied the whole mod and changed the condition to "aztec knows about european nations" to temperory fix

For the colonizer event i think the main problem is the event script does not fire in a manner as expected. Logically I do not think the code has flaws ( the event trigger shall be a nahuatl country with capital in north or south america, knows about a country which the capital is not in south/north america), however i suspect it may neglect the religion requirement and some south american small countries at amazon may know about the colonizers... because i tried to do the ti command again after I get the trigger (and I changed the name of the global flag so that I know it must be that event). I currently brutally set the requirement as Aztec knows about a country which the capital is not in south/north america and will see if it can run smoothly.

That's great XDD. I also try to run the game with command code ti and I got the arrival of european directly but not that one with one battle won, so I guess the global flag that is set by the first mesoamerican event shall work but just sth else disrupt the mission

Another minor thing would be the AE and the prestige got from the nahuatl tributary peace option. The prestige and the AE are tremendously high. It can be changed easily, but I just want to know whether it is the developer's original idea. The current prestige base and AE base is 1 and 0.7. I find that the prestige and AE gained will be similar to vassalization if it is about 0.5 and 0.3~0.4.

And also is it that I would not get any bonuses if I do not enter to the power struggle? I tried hard but everytime I can do nothing to control the colonial influence well (Since colonial nations are very easy to beat)

So it is pretty weired XD. Because this bug basically ruins the whole game so it worth immediate attention. I can see that from the general mesoamerica event file that the conquistador shall appear and also a better cualtamoc shall appear in aztec but it seems that none of them fires and I can get only the general noche triste event with a 2/2/2 cualtemoc

I would like to point out some points for first priority investigation if you want to further developed it. First of all would be the europeans arrival bug. The choice arrival of europeans is always availalble during 1480x no matter if there is any europeans. I think the mission option is controlled by the global flag "mesoamerica_colonizers_landed" but what is a bit strange is that from the log it fires after the mission tree is completed

and I also realized that the mod is updated, which is great. In previous version there are some "no name" provinces and now they are corrected, so that is great.
