I am pleased to announce that Space's Combat Overhaul (SCO) has been re-released in all scaling versions (including vanilla) just in time for Army General!

@[TGC] SwissPidi Unfortunately since this mod is a collaboration between me and FRAGO, I would have to wait for FRAGO to update. It possibly looks like they might wait for the full release of the game before updating FRAGO again, as it is a TON of work to manually update mods, and the frequency of recent updates has been too much for them to handle.

If you would still like to play with the scaling component of the mod in the meantime (with some minor gameplay changes to help with the scaling), you can still find (2x) SSC Vanilla here fully updated: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3005623847

My apologies to all the SSC+FRAGO fans that might be waiting quite some time for an update. I really hope that you guys will try out SSC Vanilla if you enjoyed the scaling, I will be keeping it updated to the best of my ability! :chivsalute:

@bagration18120912 No, this version does not have nuclear weapons right now. There is a version of FRAGO (FRAGO with nukes) that has nuclear bombers. It might be the case that when FRAGO updates that it may end up being merged with the version that has nukes, but not exactly sure what is happening on that front right now.

@Lance Yeah, that would definitely make it easier on modders but I can also understand them wanting to get updates out as fast as possible while in Early Access. Of course it can be frustrating, but understandable

@GrizzlyPup Unfortunately it can take quite a while to update WARNO mods, so I'm still waiting on FRAGO to update. I will post a comment in here when it does get updated!

If you can't wait for it to update, check below and there is a link in another comment to SSC Vanilla, which has the range scaling and slower speeds (but doesn't have FRAGO's changes)

@cojoes Thanks, really glad you enjoy :praisesun:! The FRAGO mod has a discord here: https://discord.gg/X8kNmt3Z2F They have a feedback channel there where you can leave suggestions for them. Other than the unit speeds and the range scaling, their mod holds all the combat changes and then I apply SSC over it with a script.

The 16 air slots are not working. Can't do more than 9. The space is there. The blue square is still 16 slots big, but can only fit 9 planes.

@Staffy50 Yeah unfortunately I don't think it can download the old copies of the mod from the workshop. I could be wrong though, maybe there is a way to roll it back, but I'm not sure. You're right though, I wish it did the same as it does for replays where you could load up the previous versions.

Hi mate, yeah that's it, you've updated it since. I take it there's no way to prevent a mod updating, or rolling back a version like the game itself? Shame it doesn't automatically download the correct version of the mod to the save.

@Staffy50 If the save is not from a previous version of the mod and you still have difficulties trying to load it, double check and make sure that you still have the mod enabled as well. Sometimes it will randomly disable selected mods, so it's worth a double-check

@Staffy50 Unfortunately I think that the save compatibility breaks when I update it, due to the way Eugen handles the mods between the game and the workshop. Unfortunately the same is true for replays as well, if the mod has been updated it won't load replays properly.

More or less your saves are likely version specific to the mod so when it updates they can get lost. It's basically an engine limitation due to how replay/saves are saved as a record of your actual commands instead of as a "video" of the round, so if there is a version or mod mismatch, it runs the risk of not "reconstructing" the replay/save properly, so it won't work. This is true of all mods, and even game engine updates. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

@Crimsonfucker Yeah, it is fixed on the FRAGO side of things but I need to push an update on this version.

Was hoping the devs would be able to take a look at the replays with the bug I sent them, but since it's the weekend I'll just fix up the mod instead for now. It's just that when I update it'll break the replays and then Eugen won't look at em.

I think I can regenerate it just for them later though so just give me like 15 minutes and I'll patch it for ya! :praisesun:
have you gotten any closer to fixing the sound bug, my sound cuts off about a min into match and does not come back

We're pretty sure we found the source of it and fixed it, I'm just holding off on updating the mod for a little while longer so that Eugen can check out the replay of it I sent to them yesterday and hopefully find and fix the bug for good on their side. Just have to wait for the weekend to be over so they can get back in the office and check it out.

I think i might be having a weird issue with this mod, but I'm not sure if it's the cause or not. I keep getting this sound bug where the game mutes all audio after a "click" sound after a minute or two when a match starts, and comes back after another click noise when the match ends. A few days ago it was happening even with the mod disabled but now it only seems to happen when I enable it. Is this just happening to only me?

@Pat I actually already have slowed down the vehicles quite a bit for this version actually. It's not quite 50% but it might balance out to that number when you take into account terrain difficulty and the reduced acceleration of the vehicles. Interesting idea though! Just throwing this out there, what about a version where all units move at 1/2 the speed in order to help give the illusion of a larger battlefield/map?
