But the vassals weren't meant to be monarchies, just was bit misunderstanding on the part, when they "elect" ruler on overlord.

Yeah, that is true. Same with not being able to join HRE. (Forgot exactly but there was some issue with it, that blocked or something, don't remember)

I tried playing as England, and Henry managed to get himself an heir before the War of the Roses fired. Is there some kind of fallback that'll let me choose between the Lancaster and York paths if I can't get the disaster to fire before the Age of Reformation, or will I be stuck with the vanilla England mission tree?

i think it would be cool to see germany as 2-3 minor powers seeing as they would centralize without the influence of the hre politics, like in our timeline but earlier

Anything that adds depth to one of the only features in EU4 that allows more personal interaction between countries (sort of similar to CK) is always welcome.

ive done it 3 times now war of roses fire then i automatically become york with no allies or subjects and none of the extra mods i have should interfere (Ages Reformed, Funding Mod, Monument Mods, Idea Groups Reworked) and for some reason as well this time i did start with 11k troops i had much better general and managed to build up to 25k went and attacked lancaster 15k stack and i got wiped

ok war of the roses is pretty stupid in current version i didnt get to choose a side and i got killed within a year of war of roses spawning as i spawned with no armies etc

123, I have the "only Europe" mod, and using it with this, the game always crashes in 1449. So, instead I use the "remove region" and "disable AI colonization" mods when playing this, and I get the same effect effect as "only Europe", but with no crashes.

Is this compatible with only Europe mod?

the actual HRE is not in the HRE, can you please fix it?

@jefmart1 the easiest way to do it would be to trigger the civil war using the console by putting in "event thre_england_events.6", enabling "yesman", and taking the peace deal to unify england.

I must be missing something. I completed the Fate of the Britons without the War of Roses firing. But there are no new missions. I looked in the events and missions and don't see where the flags would be triggered to allow new missions...

Yeah, was thinking to unite Germany more but since we had 2 weeks, we really didn't want to go too out of scope in that time frame.

And the diplo actions bug is mod related, not on your end.

Also two possible bugs I have noticed, though in case it is just something wrong with my game in particular someone else should verify, are that I can immediately vassalize nations without needing 190+ opinion (so as England I could instantly vassalize Cornwall and Mann) and I could also form coalitions against nations with no AE.

Really like the idea, will make for a fun campaign. Think my only real nitpick would be maybe Germany should be more unified, split between a couple of kingdoms and their vassals rather than being in the same sort of disunified state as in vanilla.
