To everyone upset, the OG mod seems to be bugged as of the newest update so either that mod eventually gets updated (prob not since the OG creator has not touched it in a while) or someone else updates it (I have more hope for the latter than the former).

I'm getting the same issue as Sherpart. Only option is to sanctify Jerusalem (which I don't own) and activating the decision doesn't do anything. The option to hide also appears, but does not remove the option to sanctify Jerusalem.

The option to sanctify the holy city does not work, it does not add the holy city to that faith, only an option to sanctify jerusalem appears but nothing happens

You absolute legend, thank you so much - I installed the other mod but only realised I was missing important buildings a long way into my game, so this has absolutely saved my game! What a hero!

Does dynamic holy sites even work anymore? I tried to use it and all it showed was the option to hide the sanctify decision which I wasn't able to see regardless.

tried using it but keeps crashing after loading it up. Maybe version is too old?

Waiting on Roads to Power is fair if you suspect that it will break the code. Personally that DLC has a lot of features I'm waiting on, so I might just put CK3 on the backburner until it comes out.

couldve been that i confused religions with cultures.. i have to compare the vanilla files before the dlc with the ones after to be sure about it

i think they changed sth, at least when i started fixing the mod one month ago i came to the conclusion that the latest dlc changed sth which messed up all my progress. so im not sure what it was exactly. but i can definetly check it the next few days if i was wrong. but to be honest i kinda would like to wait until the roads of power dlc is published as itll change the byzantine empire. it doesnt have to be a new religion to be added, also changing a holy site basically means to having to fix the mod from 0. i mean if u guys are fine with it i could also fix the mod before chapter 3 is fully out, but i wont update the mod much more often than once a year, (its just to time consuming for me as a noob) so u would have to live with sth not a hundred % working.

Did Chapter 3 plan to add any new religions? I can't find anything indicating such, so my I think you might actually be better off updating this mod *before* the chapter is over since while 3 is extremely unlikely to include any religion changes, the same cannot be said for 4.

thats probably because the events that DHS uses are outdated, its not only cologne, it applies to many other holy sites. basically the religion that u sanctified isnt part of morvens code, at least thats what im thinking is going on. i wont try to fix it till chapter 3 is completly published, because everytime a new religion is introduced by paradox, the whole mod needs to rewritten. sorry :/

But you know, after sanctifying Cologne from Catholics to Asatru - nothing changed. This holy place didn't appear in holy places of Asatru.

I've checked one more time.
And figured out the problem. Mod's folder for original mod was just... empty :) I was subscribed on it, but no content. Resubscribed - and it started to work pretty fine.

i just started ck3 and didnt encounter the issue u explained. maybe im missunderstanding ur issue here. when i open the holy site window of a religion i can still see all their holy sites, i can still build the special buildings & their replacements, which the mods adds.

the files i edited seem all fine, they shouldnt cause ur issue.

the only thing what comes to my mind right now, my fix depends on the original mod, it wont work without it. meaning, in the ck3 launcher my fix must be placed in the load order beneath the original mod and both have to be activated. this way my fix overwrites the original mod files.
maybe u play on an older save file before the legend of dead dlc? that could also be the problem, but i wouldnt know how to fix that..

Exactly this fix. Original mod leaves holly sites (at least some old, like catholic or scandinavian) on the proper places.

when all dlcs from chapter 3 are fully published (end of 2024) i wanted to try to fix the original mod completly, i actually started it after my last comment, but the new dlc release f***ed up my progress completly and i would have to start from 0. at this point i would have to edit about 200 files and create about 300 new ones, which is quite a task for a "not a Modder" without knowing tools which make the work easier... idk how morven did it, but he has my utter respect for doing it, and its only 1 of his mods :O

u mean the original mod or this fix? the fix needs the orginal mod to be activated. i recently updated the fix to include the new buildings, but i dont think thats the issue, i only edited the buildings file. ... paradox changed some religions with legends of the dead dlc, so i guess thats where the problem lays.

could u tell me if u encounter the same problem with only the original mod activated? if its only my fix causing it, i might try to make it work again, depends on whats causing the issue.

It seems that after turning on this mod all religions miss all their holy sites. Generally, It seems to me, that there is no holy sites at all anymore on the map. Any suggestions?

sorry at this point in time im not sure if i will fully fix the original mod. i probably know how to do it now, but its quite an effort to do so. this fix for now will only adress the new building types which paradox included last year, missing holy site buildings arent included, to update those, i would need to update about 80 txt in this mod as well as 40 localisations...

I didn't give enough info in hindsight. It keeps the holy site there and doesn't have a problem switching it to your religion. However the physical building is missing. So if you wanted to build that building you can't as the game doesn't even think it exists and is missing the special building slot for it

Thanks for making this mod, I was sad to see the original mod wasn't being updated. Its cool you're continuing it.

Currently the issue (at least I'm having) is it gets rid of the pagan temples in the steppe. I'm fairly sure it just that region at least

Everything else seems fine though

idk if it worked but i tried to update the tenets to the recent ck3 version. could somebody playtest and tell me if they work as they should now?

updating the holy sites might be pretty complicated, i dont know if im good enough to include new added holy sites.
faith icons are probably also not up to date, they were written a bit confusing in a line.

if there are more issues with the original mod feel free to tell me as detailed as possible and i may be able to fix it in the future .. -> no promise
