Thanks for the report, should be fixed in v1.4.1
You have specific set of mods associated with your save, which might not match currently activated set of mods. This mod will show you the difference.
For example, in your save you have mods A,B,C,D, but in mod menu you have B,X,Y,Z activated.
When you load your save this mod will show you two columns - mods in save (A,B,C,D) on the left and activated mods (B,X,Y,Z) on the right. And you can decide what you want to do:
- load mods from save (this will reload lua with mods A,B,C,D and load your save without changing activated set of mods)
- update from save (this will do the same as above but also overwrite activated set of mods with A,B,C,D)
- update from enabled (this will overwrite mods in save from A,B,C,D to B,X,Y,Z)
- load from enabled (this will just load your save with currently activated set of mods (B,X,Y,Z))
No, it's for singleplayer only
@BlackStone
I created it initially to handle multiple saves with different sets of mods, and tracking changes in case some mods were deleted/changed ids/etc.
Also, in your case this window pops up because you probably have different set of mods in your save vs mod manager, so you can immediately see what's changed. Without this mod the game will forcefully load mods from your save, without asking.
It seems redundant. I make a change to a mod, then save it to the exact same name before the change, hit accept, then click continue, then this mod pops window and ask to update and or load from the changes I made. Like why have to tell this mod what I already know I did? The game should play a continued game as long as you saved the changes right?
- Enable some mods
- Create new save or load existing
- Exit to menu
- Change active mods or mod load order
- Load save
- Window with changes should pop-up
You will see this menu when loading saved game and if mods in your save do not match activated mods.
E.g. you have 10 mods in save and 5 activated mods (in mod manager), so when clicking on "continue" in main menu or "play" from load menu, you will see this window with differences.
Mod Manager is compatible, but there is no integration between the two. Is there something you want to see added?
