Hi, someone else Hi! Has anyone else experienced that their teammates (who you find near where you drop) get stuck a few meters before reaching the first line of trenches that need to be cleared? After that, Notre Dam is supposed to be full of enemies, but I passed through there and only saw flies. Just a question: while you finish meeting up with your teammates and reach the Drop Zone, can you find more teammates? Or even after passing through there? Thanks.
P.S.: The mission setting and the patrols make it hard to forget it's a game!

No plans to update this mission. However, I will be releasing a new mission that is similar to this one, but you play as a German paratrooper. The mission should be released within a few hours, if you're interested.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, if I remember correctly, you given detailed feedback on some of my other missions.

I'm glad you liked it, I was trying to give people a mission that would deliver the feeling of all those past paratrooper movies/games that we're all familiar with, but with my own Arma flavor.

I'm working on a German paratrooper mission with a similar atmosphere, it should be out by this weekend.

This was a really great mission. Reallly got a "Band of Brothers" impression. Briefing and intro were fantastic. Difficulty was not high, which was nice for a change. It plays like a mission from the old Call of Duty 2 game, before it got very over-the-top cinematic.

The night, fog, and soundscape make you appreciate your nearby surroundings more. It's a great way to enjoy the map up close. Danger appears everywhere. The mission also performs well: no frame rate drops.

A criticism: the fact that my character started 2.5 kilometers from the drop zone, made the walk very, very long. The ambient audio got on my ears, and I sped the game 4x up to reach the object. This still took 10 minutes of holding down SHIFT + W.

Got to steal an MG34, which along with copious grenades, allowed me to storm the trenches like an Inglourious Basterd. Full marks for this. Also nice to have multiple parts to the mission.

Small bug: I never managed to complete the first task, which led the mission insisting I complete it, after repelling the attack. Perhaps add a BIS_fnc_taskSetState "CANCELED" for this. Also multple typos in the briefing text, animated briefing, and the character text in the intro. But these are tiny details compared to this seamless, cinematic, super enjoyable mission! I recommend everyone plays it!

Very good and atmospheric mission. Visibility and detection are ok, this is a night mission after all. It gives an opportunity to sneak up and flank enemy positions.

не могли бы Вы "продублировать", пожалуйста, Вашу замечательную миссию с показом задач и положения игрока? Потерялся на карте(( новичок в SPE... , бегаю и уничтожаю прожекторы и зенитки.

PS недавно пересматривал сериал "Братья по оружию", во второй серии похожая ситуация с местоположением подразделения. Но, там бойцы подсказывали - "...сэр, я видел указатель с названием деревни..."

Strange, because you can see in the video posted with the pictures above, that the AI, both enemy, and my teammates are engaging at 20-30 meters. I'll take a look at it.

@stburr91, it's not my first rodeo. I'm saying that they just don't see anything further away than their noses, same goes from the enemies, i was able to clear the trenches from almost point blank distance and AI only started looking around because they heard my shots. I'm not using any AI overhauls. It's too dark for AI and changing the camo coefficient for all of them (or changing time of night) would help I guess.

Your teammates are set to hold fire, if you order them to fire, they will engage at a longer distance. However, it is very low visibility, so they will only see the enemy so far away.

I thought there was 1 panzerfausts in the box, thanks I'll check it. There is a German AT gun right there, so the panzerfausts really isn't needed.

AI seems to be a bit too blind at night, they don't see 5 meters ahead, two or three times they allowed a Jerry to almost step on them before opening fire. Perhaps changing the camo coefficient would make them less like blind mice and be able to see as much as player can. And in the defense part the panzerfausts in the crate are empty.

If you tried the mission, let me know if it is too hard to navigate in the low visibility. Do I need to show the player's position on the map, or do I need to show the tasks on the map so the player knows where to go.
