@Calvin well the base BetterCrew mod isn't made to be compatible with FU, so yes it's still needed, but the patch hasn't been updated to support either the latest updates of the Diet version of BetterCrew nor Full version.

Is this still needed?

As mentioned in the mod's two workshop pages in the summary section, I'm the workshop uploader (and I do review the code a bit to make patch for my private collection which is used for a private server between friends), but I'm not the original author !
You can also find a direct link to the original github repository in the summary section too, so you can see the source directly and the commits from 2 weeks ago and from a few days ago, both "1.2.0" (but correspond to versions workshopv1.2.0 = 2weekscommit and workshopv1.2.0a = 2dayscommit. You must take in account also 1.0.1, which wasn't uploaded to the workshop.)

A summary of the additions of each version is also available in the change-notes of both workshop pages (though obviously the 'diet' page lacks the change-notes for version 1.2.0a)

also was wondering, what did you add compared to the old ver
radioactivefoxsiddy  [author] 6 Sep, 2023 @ 5:28am
alright got it! gonna have to unpak the files again unless theres a zip ver then lol

It does not, it will have to be a separate patch.
There is a whole section that lists all the modified .lua file in the old and new versions' descriptions (and that list has grown a lot!)

aah, well im wondering then, does the new ver have the frackin npcs patch or naw

@radioactivefoxsiddy Well, there's basically 2 new versions (which on github are the commit from 2 weeks ago and the one from a few days ago... both as "1.2.0"):

Version 1.2.0 is the one from August 31th on the workshop, couple weeks on github, won't receive more updates, and has been published onto the original workshop mod listing, which has been renamed the "diet" version.
You should be able to update your current FU patch for the diet version fairly easily, changes are minimal.

Version 1.2.0 a , corresponding to the commit from few days ago, published today on the workshop has its own new page, as it makes a LOT more changes that could break stuff for lots of people who were subscribed to the original listing.
That one would need its own separate patch.

@vix ah i see now, i originally made this mod bc the first one that was posted hadnt been updated in sone time, the second one didnt show up for me, so that ver is prolly superior, though i could dig around in the code to see if it works better maybe

Hi... well, I have good news and bad news.

Good news this version of Better Crew from august 31th is final, so once you update your patch, you don't have to worry about it again.

Bad news, it's because the new version of Better Crew! makes so much more tweaks that it was published as a new separate version, and the original one became "diet/deprecated".
I was afraid of breaking people's stuff if I published it as a update.
But also means a whole new patch for it...

Sorry for that °^°

idk lol

The original Better Crew mod was updated more recently than this mod. Therefor, your mod is now FU-compatible but outdated in relation to fixes made in the original mod.

Could you make this patch FU's npctypes into the original mod as a dependency instead of being a standalone version?

@kenanthebarbarian what do you mean?
kenanthebarbarian 31 Aug, 2023 @ 3:30pm
Do you intend to update this to correspond with updates to the original mod? It was updated 8/31.
