It actually needs to be selected on the hotbar, not holding it with your cursor. Besides some items might not be compatible

I'm currently away from modding but I believe you can extract the source code and edit it yourselves.
Find the utils.cs script, I made the functions pretty straightforward and easy to modify.
I'll update the mod when I have time but it won't be any time soon, sorry.

I do agree that the mod dose need a setting to modify both the prefixes and suffixes up 5 levels and the strengths of each bonus!< why 5 and not 3 to also be there to level for mods that do post moon lord content! Or a way to access the default code DLL files so we can edit it to our liking!

Needs to be an item or setting you can use to make a weapon/armor always use max prefix/suffix.

Late game trying to reroll and constantly going back to 1 prefix and suffix when the item can have 3 makes it worse RNG then the goblin tinkerer. Very annoying and kind of a waste of time.

Already trying to get the stats you do want with a decent roll range.

Hello, been using this mod for few weeks. So far it's kinda good in what it does

But there's a little issue here, is there compatibility issue with other mods' Bosses or is it intended that "Normal enemies" HP scaling also applies to boss?

I'm kinda shocked to see 400k hp Cryogen while its base health is barely 50k in Expert

Also one suggestion, it'll be nice to add a "Flat HP" increase per level on the configuration so basic enemies like slimes and zombies would still have sizeable HP on hardmode

got it working. Skill issue on my part. you have to have it in your hotbar, not just holding the item by clicking it. no wonder it wasn't working. My bad man, love the mod though!

yeah i thought so too, but it works just fine for my friend that im playing with. Ill do some more testing to see what the issue is. some mods recently got updated so maybe they are just acting weird.

Make sure you are holding that item. If you feel like there's an issue then disable other recently installed mods to check. Might be a mod conflict

hey, might be a bug on my end, but when i try to reroll the stats with the craft hotkey, it does nothing. It takes the gold but the stats stay the same. It was working fine yesterday but now it wont change stats.

I'm too lazy to point out every detail but what I can tell is that every boss "unlocks" something. After Golem is defeated, every item type is able to roll maximum allowed amount of modifier.

Or you can just look into the source code

I got it. But there is any info like: after EoC items can have 2 modifiers
After skeletrom items can have 3 modifiers
After wall of flesh items can have 4 modifiers

... and so on

There's no locked modifier type. It's just the number of prefixes and suffixes you can roll + the magnitude of the modifier.
And these are based on vanilla bosses, just progress through the game

Well I made it so that items can now be put into Tinkerer's slot. Not sure if that fixes anything but here ya go

this mod feature of "being unable to put the items in reforge slot of the goblin" seams to be causing a bug with the weapon enchantment mod, i'm unable to re-roll a enchantment with the witch npc of that mod, i think it use a similar mechanic from the vanilla item reforging

I got it now. I was trying holding the item after a click. The item should be selected on the quick menu. Just a misunderstanding :) Thank you for the quick reply tho. It's a great mod

I've spent 10 gold trying to reroll the starter copper shortsword. :(
it's just a few silver coins to reroll. Maybe I have some mod incompatibility

Working fine on my end. Maybe you are just unlucky and roll nothing. Make sure to hold the item first by selecting it from the hotbar

When I press the reroll hotkey the gold is spent but the item doesn't change at all.

Cool mod, but conflicts with Fargo's Mutant Mod - it added extra lures to a fishing rods, and this mod breaks it.

Hey! I really like the idea of this mod. Unfortunately, it bugs throwables, stopping them from being consumed when used. Sometimes you recover some of them too, which increases your total item count over time.
