Yea that makes sense, I probably need to do another balance pass at one or two events anyway tbh. The siege one also probably needs some harsher penalties for the attacker

Hey, I've been test running alongside the 1337 mod currently working and several provinces were totally unbalanced in the production. Most likely due to disease_and_decay.49 (aqueduct one)

I nerfed and also added this:

random_owned_province = {
limit = {
NOT = { has_province_flag = disease_decay_effect_applied }
}
add_base_production = 1
add_unrest = -10
set_province_flag = disease_decay_effect_applied
}

Just a heads up, as it is a great mod and fun to see the black death unfolding while you are warmongering :)

Just tried yesterday and the experience was incredible ! Black death really challenged me and my allies at the same time (I play with more meaningful devastation too). I felt hard but fair. Maybe some event to reduce the time of the plague through investment in hospital or quarantine would be nice but congrats on your work :)

Hey, I'm working with a 1337 and piece by piece aiming for simple rebrand of the game as it was EU 4.5 without reinventing the wheel lol

Please, could I integrate this mod as being the Black Death? Currently working on how to simulate this important aspect of the era!

@Aurora, avoiding it entirely is only possible as an island nation with no diplomatic ties to the mainland. However, while your country has the plague, there will be frequent events that trigger to provide mild relief from the symptoms (alongside some more negative ones). After you survive the plague you will get a fair few recovery events to heal the nation. But to entirely avoid it there is currently not a way.

It shouldn't cause crashes, however there may be a fair few events that wont fire as Anbennar redesigns the game map. Some events have specific locations in their triggers which wont exist in anbennar. There will be a few events that work fine though

@Facebob101, sadly I don't think I can. Best thing to do is look for groups of provinces with devastation on the devastation mapmode. If they have the little skull icon in province modifiers (suffering from the plague) then they have the plague. The other diseases also usually use the skull icon to make it easy to see from a glance.

Due to containing custom religions, they are incompatible with each other. However, I am considering splitting the historical and fantasy elements of the mod into two, which would make the historical stuff compatible with all other mods. So basically, the answer is yes, but I might need a week or so to do it to make sure the split works well.

@Just4Kicks, thanks for the feedback. I have just uploaded a patch to rectify this issue. The event wont fire after you have a set number of universities (3), preventing it from getting spammy in the late game.

an issue with this is if you have a lot of provinces, the built university event is very spamy
