Thank you immensely for updating, my raiding wouldn't be the same without the whir of twin helicopter blades announcing the coming of impending doom.

All recipes use same amount of components but they add up to the same market value when 'work to make' value is considered (when I made it); Also dependency is already in the file and shows even with Mod Manager installed

I've been thinking about the recipe for this; if we're using Rimthunder, shouldn't some of the vanilla components be replaced by fueling or transmission components? And shouldn't the vanilla component cost be reduced a bit for using an engine too? Working out the cost of these means that it costs 80 components and over 2000 steel with the Engine Industries recipe, compared to 1500 steel and 50 components without.

You really need to add that this depends on, and must be loaded after, the Vehicle Framework into the mod metadata. Otherwise if it is loaded before, it crashes the game.

It works well for me but for some reason I don't hear any sound effects when it lands, only when it takes off. Is that normal?

could a UH-60 and other helicopters be added into this mod? i love this H-47 and everything about it. it works great and with the animation makes it even better.

I still prefer this over the Tier 3 Chinook. I really like the takeoff and landing animation and I like that it's an actual chinook instead of just a really close interpretation of it.

Now somewhat Obsolete with the addition of Tier 3's Chinook tho that one is more of a dedicated cargo transport with double the cargo of this one but no space for passengers (adds a Huey for that role instead)

I Downloaded and enabled both mods (vehice framework)

there is no research poppigng up to unlock it.

Anything wrong ?

I do not have DLCs (but they werent listed as prerequisite here tho)

If you're using rimpy to compress the texture, be sure to delete the compressed textures and recompress after you resubscribe to this mod. Doing that fixed the issue for me.

Resubscribing the mod should fix the issue
I increased image size to 2 times and maybe Steam haven't got to download it yet, so forcing an update should resolve the issue
Please tell me if it still does not fix it

3600 steel and 50 components for 2400 kg cargo. That's cool but maybe you could do 1200 kg of cargo and 25 componentes + 1600 steel. 3600 steel is just crazy man

I love the concept and the look of it. Only thing I am worried about, is that it seems to have multitudes more carrying capacity than anything else currently available

Yes, one of these monsters SHOULD carry far more than this, but compared to the rest of what is available in VVE, this dwarfs everything on the board by up to FOUR times at best xD

I will honestly boost the carry capacity if VF updates to support carrying vehicles, as of now I will keep it as is, I know SRTS will have spaceship added rather soon and I don't want a helicopter to have more capacity than a spaceship
There is plans to make more helicopters but I have other things in the making already

I also would say the carrying capacity could be bumped some for sake of accuracy, but maybe to keep balance make it a mark 2 version or something? Same as the basic one for sake of not needing to write even more code for VF, but add in plasteel and advanced components (Or more engines, etc from EI). Main thought is that I could use one to haul around other really heavy vehicles with the increased weight capacity. Just an idea, no need to actually consider it if you don't feel like it.

Love the chinook and it goes very well with my RH² modlist, thanks for the hard work! Any plans for more helicopters of this era?

Chinook IRL can carry around 11,000 KGs, 2400 is a bit low tbh. Is it lower for balance reasons? If not it should definitely be bumped up a decent amount.
