It can be doubled for a lot of money, so the bottom periscope operates two turrets for extra firepower. This way the sub can be used lategame as well.

it's just for show. I was thinking about it, made another sub that's main quirk is to scoop up monsters like that, but it's not the best and safest thing.

Really nice sub. Can you open the hatch above cargo or is it just for show? If it's just for show, it would be really cool if it was expanded a bit to the right until it reaches the wall, and made open-able as a moon pool for scooping up monsters.

Great sub with a lot of clean features, but the turret override really needs a timeout circuit so the normal bot and player locations can go back to being used after the captain/anyone pushes the override button. It is extremely annoying when someone uses it to but in and steal your turret, and can lock out the turret point for 10 minutes while no one uses it, with enemies trying to break in.

Thank you. It's a transport sub, so you should be able to buy the upgrade for a mineral scanner on outposts.

The railgun doesn't have a problem for me, but I only use vanilla. I moved it a bit forward to avoid collision.
With a bit of wiring, you can wire the railgun controls to the persicope at the nav terminal (the cam system), the railgun has exposed relay for controls in the loading room. This isn't an attack sub, I don't intend it to turn it to it, but the crew can be creative.

I don't know why, i guess it's due to hitboxs, but when i shoot a nuclear shell or similar nuclear payload from the railgun when aiming down or up, it explodes in my face. It mostly occur with the "Railgun fusion shell" added by EK if think.
It would be a small bit of work, but i think it would be nice to have 2 varient of the shit with the current one and one with a periscope for the front railgun so we can put bots on it. I don't personally know how to puc 2 subs into one mod, but i've seen some people do it (Like the "Herring" that comes with and without the elevator)

I also have a problem with my bots, they wanders around into the prison room too often and it leads to the prisonners escaping the room too easily, I have to weld it each time. Maybe mayking the door openable only by quard or captain (but then they can't fix leaks in it)

I tested it with the vanilla shuttles, it worked with those. Didn't think about modded ones and wrecks. It most likely won't work with those, unless the wreck/beacon/shuttle is short

I can hardly dock anything on the bottom, probably due to the lower gun hitbox, it's actually an autocannon. Even when i move the second sub (wreck/pirate) and try to dock it never propose to.

It works both in the editor and in campaign for me.
If you're using a mod that alters ID cards or jobs, that may be an issue, but I have no idea.

having an issue with the sub in that the officers locker and crew specific cabinets are inaccessible regardless of profession

Don't know what could cause it, or what would fix it, I didn't touch it, and it shouldn't turn itself on. It works fine in my campaign and editor as well. But if it works now, it is a good thing.

I was having a similar issue to the guy further down in the comments with the shower turning itself on but it seems to have fixed itself(?)

Thank you for the bug report, this wasn't the case before the update, but now it seems to happen.
I fixed it by pushing the turret a bit forward. Sadly cannot be fixed mid campaign, as the ship has to be purchased again.

I have a pretty weird issue, maybe it’s just some mods conflicting but when we shoot the railgun it just explodes the front of our boat haha, we tried different shells and stuffs and it’s always the same result. Are we just stupid or somethin? Or is it just baro being stupid

The idea behind the hatch at the docking ring is more like an emergency entrance than regular a exit. You can close it on enemy bases so they don't drop in uninvited or if you want to do some airlock cheesing.
The t3 is a bit delayed due to all the other games that came out in the past months.

Absolutely fantastic t2 sub. Cozy atmosphere and effective. As a sec officer who perpetually wore a diving suit, the safe next to the guns AND a o2 canister rack was super convenient for me. The only flaw I can think of was the airlock in the tower, the combination of excessive room and water pressure frequently knocks you down and around long enough for the hatch to close again. Would love to see a tier 3 version of this beauty.

That is weird, it works fine for me. I tested it in campaign and in the editor.
Are you using performance fix? could be it messes with the signal register times. No other idea what could cause it.

Lots of room for modification, great atmosphere, features that help with troubleshooting, AND PERSONAL STORAGE, as a Veteran Mechanic, (1000+ hours) I give this an 11/10, It looks amazing, has its upside and downsides, and is a transport submarine, I would love to see a tier 3 in this style with this amount of effort put into it, though I believe this one would be able to reach the center with ease with a good crew...
