I have over 2,200 hours in JA2 and a couple hundred in JA3 and I have to say Boot Camp is my favorite merc so far. You have done an amazing job with this character. This one has made me laugh more than all the other combined. Please keep up the good work, it is very appreciated.
added inventory sound effects for picking up and dropping any custom books
(previously it was silent) Full details are in the patch notes.
After some helpful feedback with Shuri-Sama and some re-evaluation. I have released an update for
Some highlights..
Marksmanship 76->86 adjusted to bring in-line with other mercs in the same tier (elite average is 85 not including DrQ)
lowered starting level 5->3
This has multiple affects. You will be able to acquire more perks for him. And his salary increase per level is less. It will be similar to other merc in the same tier (elite)
NOTE : These changes will not take affect in a current save game
Many other changes... Full details are in the patch notes.
Have a good week. And a new merc will be released this Friday.
Thank you. You can message me on discord. same name TROCH22

Cool that Wildman project of yours. Looking forward for the release.
Noted! I forgot about that movie, think I'll download it a for a viewing. My list of ideas for new projects is pretty big at the moment. Once I re-publish WILDMAN, production should speed up a bit. WILDMAN is the equivalent to 5 voiced mercs. He has over 1,000 voice-response lines.
Reduced voice-response repetitiveness
(similar to Audaki’s reduce voice response repetitiveness)
the following actions have been altered
unit selection and auto selection voice-response -49%
unit order voice-response -33%
unit group order voice-response -31%
unit aiming voice response -50% (was already at -40% prior to this update)
Enjoy your week

Thank you. I sure he will get your troops into shape. Click on the doughnut. It's just there for giggles. Had an idea for it.. maybe in the future.
@Harry_Krishnaa
np, glad we got it sorted out
@Furin
Haha, Nice! Thank you. More mercs to come.
@Lion of Judah
screenshots and paint.net is all you need. I do have a custom ReShade that enhances the image quality. I might release that one day.
I love the work you did on all of your mercs. Each one is top shelf quality!!
Thank you for the kind words and checking out Hartman. I hope he serves you and the troops well.
Enjoy your week

THX a lot ... one of the best mercs in Workshop!
First of all: I have to congratulate you for the release of your first voiced merc! I know how much time is required to accomplish it on a certain quality level and I really appreciate the work and effort you have put into this project.
Combined with his custom perk, "Gunny" looks like a very solid package to me. I will definitely add him right into my roster. My militia is already looking forward to get motivated ;)
I hope you are going to enjoy the rest of your well deserved sunday.
Best regards from rainy germany.

Boot Camp's voice (english) is now working with any selected language in the game.
Thanks to @Harry_Krishnaa for reporting the problem
My goal was to provide a complete and quality merc mod. This project was a big learning experience for me. Especially on the audio side of things. Rendering and mixing source files, ect. Working with set lines is harder then it seems. Finding a proper category for it. And then plugging them into the game. Especially when I was working with 300 plus lines to choose from. If I made AI lines this would have been so much easier.
When I work on the next merc I'm going to find better source files if I don't use AI lines. It was hard to find a good source audio for Hartman. And even then I had to remove all the background noise and ambiance. I did the best I could and some lines might need to be touched up. But I'm very happy with the end results and I think you will be to.
