wish it had a bit better texture and was dx11 subbed ne ways praying for a update
Kyks 7 May, 2018 @ 5:32pm
back in Space enginers. This was awsome back then. any updates ? somewhere ?
Aldes 14 Apr, 2018 @ 3:07am
Maybe someone can update this great mod to DX 11 again? cause mod from the link below deleted.
Carter 18 Jan, 2016 @ 8:42pm
DX 11 anyone?
Demolishun 25 Oct, 2015 @ 12:11am
Interesting. Mg based cement is stronger than normal concrete and takes a lot less: http://www.greenhomebuilding.com/articles/ceramicrete.htm
namenloss 16 Jul, 2015 @ 1:46pm
Excelent work , keep it up
[Andon] 28 May, 2015 @ 12:30pm
Any idea on if you'll have this updated to Dx11 anytime soon?
Yttri 19 Apr, 2015 @ 8:35am
Dupe bug: placing a block with 1 girder in inventory gives you frame with 2 girders installed. If mined back - gives 2 girder.
SwordShaman 19 Jan, 2015 @ 12:36pm
Great mod! I'd like to thank you for all the work you've put into it as well as offer some constructive criticism, if I may. Your column would look much better, in my opinion, if you removed the spikey bits on the exterior. I'm not quite sure what you were going for with that design, but it just looks out of place to me.
Ulfsark 11 Jan, 2015 @ 2:38pm
Magnesium in the cement? Really?
Elwin Lux  [author] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 12:22pm
Yes, I'm working on it. The textures are too big.
Bedmonster 8 Jan, 2015 @ 5:33pm
Hey! Was going to use this mod on my server, however the filesize is huge for a space engineers mod, any way that filesize can get heavily reduced?
JBird608 6 Jan, 2015 @ 7:29am
Would it be possible for you to reduce the bevel on the models? So that big areas look smoother.
exleecher 23 Nov, 2014 @ 3:32am
is it possible to make this mod smaller?
The other Mods I use are about 1-2 MB, yours 50 MB.
Thanks for all the time you invested in this mod.
bpais008 30 Sep, 2014 @ 2:28pm
Welcome. I hope you can make this into a great concrete mod.

BTW, the cement material is 39kg, but the materials to create it only total up to 25.17kg. Sand is similar. Maybe more gravel is needed per material.
Elwin Lux  [author] 29 Sep, 2014 @ 12:44pm
Working on it.
Thanks for feedbacks!
:)
bpais008 28 Sep, 2014 @ 3:28pm
Tested a little in creative. Dunno where you want the blocks to be in terms of durability, but I think the durability of the blocks vs missiles could be a little higher. One missile can shatter up to 4 blocks at once. Takes 2 missiles to destroy just one HA block.
bpais008 28 Sep, 2014 @ 2:14pm
Im loving how this looks.

Could you give more details about the durability of the concrete blocks relative to light/heavy armor blocks?
Horus6661 28 Sep, 2014 @ 7:55am
Great thanks !!!
Elwin Lux  [author] 28 Sep, 2014 @ 2:43am
Weight increased!
Horus6661 27 Sep, 2014 @ 9:46am
Could you increase the wage? in the real world (1m3 of Concret = 2.300 kg)- So one block weighs 5750kg
Elwin Lux  [author] 14 Sep, 2014 @ 2:33pm
Yes, it's what I would do
><///> (A Fish) 14 Sep, 2014 @ 8:33am
By ceramic tiles, do you mean something like a landing deck plating that's resistant (or hopefully immune) to thruster damage?
Elwin Lux  [author] 13 Sep, 2014 @ 3:32am
New block!
Luz 8 Sep, 2014 @ 1:16pm
Look like my server crash when I add sand and cement bags to the assembler : /
Elwin Lux  [author] 6 Sep, 2014 @ 2:03am
Yep, retested now.
100% working :)
Mike Loeven 5 Sep, 2014 @ 12:54pm
has this been updated to be stable with this weeks aseembler code changes??
Elwin Lux  [author] 31 Aug, 2014 @ 8:56am
Added building stage
Frederick Taer 30 Aug, 2014 @ 10:14pm
@Elwin Lux, thx a lot. :)
Elwin Lux  [author] 30 Aug, 2014 @ 11:43am
*unfortunately latest update broke the mod. the components are not buildable in the assembler* FIXED

Modified use of components: blocks are more resistance and heavier.
Mike Loeven 29 Aug, 2014 @ 9:18pm
blueprint missing also the assembler is kinda borked because you can no longer dissassemble
Frederick Taer 29 Aug, 2014 @ 5:06am
Yup, confirmed.
Cant build Sand and Cement after thursday update.
@Elwin Lux please, fix it. :)
Landorcan 28 Aug, 2014 @ 7:17pm
Well thought out and balance mod for my stations landing pads and interior walkways for asteroid hollow base ty.
Tiger313 28 Aug, 2014 @ 4:13pm
Subscribed this week, saw a single concrete block using a steel plate to build. Felt that as a bit cheating so didn't use it. Then the next day I saw multiple block shapes and figured I'd have a peek at them again: now using girders, construction components and two custom items named sand and cement. I quite liked that! Keep it up, Elwin Lux! :)
Demonocolips 28 Aug, 2014 @ 2:29pm
unfortunately latest update broke the mod. the components are not buildable in the assembler. or at least its not working for me
Phlog Service 27 Aug, 2014 @ 7:30pm
It should be reinforced concrete (use metal grid in construction, to act as rebar) and it should be heavier than heavy armor, while being nearly bullet proof. to disuade people from making concrete ships, and possibly persuade people to make concrete stations. after all, in reality we'd use the most abundant resource to build space bases. also, it'd make people really consider if they'll just convert their station into a ship down the road or not. also, is it possible to make it break down easier with a drill than grinder? and could the build states go frame slightly larger than block (to make it look like its welded to surrounding blocks) rebar, half-cast, then block? all the suggestions i can think of while half awake XD
Elwin Lux  [author] 27 Aug, 2014 @ 3:00pm
New update.
Need to test more the large ship truster resistance and the resistance to the weapons.
I tried to balance in a realistic way the use of components for the construction but any suggestion is welcome :)
[WJTK] TheBearJew 24 Aug, 2014 @ 8:10am
how much thrust resistance does it have?
Phlog Service 24 Aug, 2014 @ 7:08am
Please tell me it takes a LOT of gravel to make? we need a use beyond generators for gravel
BushiNeko 22 Aug, 2014 @ 11:31am
yeah concrete! just need to use that gravel component for sure! :D
><///> (A Fish) 22 Aug, 2014 @ 11:09am
yeah, why not call it ceramic? make it immune to thruster damage in general? maybe make it super fragile though? (ceramic, after all haha)

e need something to do with all this gravel anyway haha
Trion3 22 Aug, 2014 @ 10:42am
if you made this thrust resistant it would be my go to block for landing pads
Troa Barton 22 Aug, 2014 @ 12:51am
if this was ceramic and prevented thruster damage and used stone and iron for components this would be beast. i really like the plain texture myself, the cracks are huge ill guve it a go when its survival ready.
MikeTM 21 Aug, 2014 @ 2:23pm
Looks pretty good! Might give it a spin. Subscribed.
Janitor 21 Aug, 2014 @ 1:13pm
Could it potentially get some (keyword) thruster resistance from larger ship thrusters? At the cost of being fragile like light armor?
Spaced Cadet 21 Aug, 2014 @ 1:03pm
Please make this so that it can be built with gravel! I'd totally endorse the mod if you did.
A-Mac 21 Aug, 2014 @ 12:00pm
You should make it be able to be built with useless gravel.
Regnion 21 Aug, 2014 @ 10:53am
I also suggest and request, as those who have posted before:

thruster damage proof -or- high resistance to small and large engines
modified collision with asteroids so we can have a flat surface for once (if possible)
ハイロポン 21 Aug, 2014 @ 9:39am
No, I was just making myself laugh; I've got the giggles today.

Anyway, I love this block, thank you! Are you thinking about dropping a cubic frame then just having the cement level rise in it as if it were being poured? Or requiring the use of special equipment to pour it? Or are you just figuring that out as you go along?
