It appears that it's not intentional that electricity can flow out of substations; given how electricity behaves in other circumstances, the ability of power to flow out of a substation is likely to be handled like a bug by the developers.
Sorry, it looks like you might have to redesign your grid...
The vanilla priority high-voltage switches sort-of give an impression of directionality, though.
Although, I have to say, the icons the devs have for medium- and high-voltage isn't directional, as most other things are in this game. Which I would have loved to see, even though it's kinda nonsencial in a way.
Especially given that WRSR has become the game of "angle of railway crossing is too sharp" and "some other infrastructure is in the way"...
This option adds flexibility for those people who like to play using only high-voltage lines.
Having to spam dozens of weirdly oversized substations (seriously, the vanilla substation is bigger than most in-game semi-trailers) sucks.
It'd be less of a hassle if low-voltage underground wires could carry more than 1.45 MW, and if we had reasonably-sized transformers in vanilla. Like, the vanilla transformer has 6 outputs... with an 18 MW input wire, that's 3 MW per output. (And all these electrical buildings have gigantic footprints!)
But that's just my gripes. At least we've solved one part of this hassle ourselves, thanks to @ Cola98765 .
I'm glad you like the mod! :)

I recommend using the smaller substations for underground wires, and the new larger substations for aboveground wires.
In some non residential areas above ground cabling is the first choice, adding to the industrial look :)
Thanks
I also had worries for a sec about connection number for MV one, but 3 is enough even for underground cables.
The only change I may suggest is to actually make the HV one more expensive, cause currently they both cost the same
(also the big one having only 2.5x bigger capacity with 4x the size makes sense IMO with having bigger transformer)

The medium powered one, in my opinion, could do with being twice as wide, so containing two blocks.
It absolutely does need the two 2.35MW cables connected but as it is they look too close together when connected.
Having two side by side substation blocks would make that look so much better.
The larger block of four combined, for the high voltage seems fine as that already is widened, being two substations wide and two stations deep.
Plus you can get away with only needing one cable.
Many thanks for creating and sharing :)
because the strongest line is 2.35 MW, and it needs a double
personally i'd like to have 4.5 MW version with high-voltage connection to be able to connect this with 1 cable or 1 powerline, it'll be more aesthetical
