does it need some changes? seems like the new DLC already does the water freezing thing – this may be incompatibility?

@zoroththeawesome No, melting is dependant on the outside temperature

will this mod allow me to use heat to melt the ice for farming?

@Smiley Face Killer - not sure if you arrived at a conclusion for yourself since last year but I would say yes it is more performance friendly than water freezes. Not sure if its due to the code itself or just the fact it happens more gradually but I do not take the same performance hit I do with this when using other mods

@Mlie - Hey I posted in the Water Freezes mod about a performance hit I was getting while using Pathfinding Framework - just wanted to add on that whatever logic for freezing water this mod uses - it does not impact the same way

always loved extra hard playthroughs in permafrost locations when I played RimWorld years ago.

Any idea if the water freezing is more performance friendly than the "Water Freezes" mod?
Mlie  [author] 3 Sep, 2023 @ 5:38am
@nikita150u Freezing is gradual, same as before

NO WAY!? Hail our savior The Greates Mlie

Btw do it still freeze fresh-generated cold maps step-by-step or mod (finally) do it on instant?
