Congratulations on getting this map added! I thought they would never give VSH another map after last summer so it's nice to see this game-mode still receive attention from them. I was also unaware that the name got changed to Outburst and Saxton was given a new coat of paint so it explains a few things I saw the other night on the menu screen.


And while I'm aware there has been a growing bloat issue with the games content for a while now, I admit-ably still have my fingers crossed for Facility and Outlook getting in now lol

Oh, that's why. But why listen/local server with changelevel doesn't have this problem? Does it reload assets or something after it changes a map unlike DS?

Both versions of Saxton have the same model name, and once an asset is loaded it won't unload even after changing maps.

After playing on this map in Dedicated Server and changing it to another VSH map, Hale's model will be from this map: https://imgur.com/a/Glw3IMJ Also, changing to zi map, a HUD is broken by splited line on the screen. The only solution to fix this is to restart the game. It happens even without sourcemods addons

i love how hales spawn is the devils office from the comics. i hope that there will be more maps with custom hale skins

this is actually pretty cool. this time it's the Blu Team Fighting Saxton! and Saxton Hell is RED! Nice!

TBH there was such a missed opportunity here for the mercs to fight the devil in order to get out of hell because he got tired of medic's crap. Would've been pretty funny too. Something like zombie hale would've been awesome though.

I have an a good idea for a vsh map.
1. - it's gonna be mvm-like map
2. - saxton will came out from a robots spawn

4. - Or just make a mvm_coaltown or mvm_mannworks as a vsh map using custom saxton model like in the link i leaved in "3."

As for custom icons, I'm not sure if it can be done, at least in a way that wouldn't "leak" into other maps.

lizard first and foremost thank you for making such an fun game mode been playing it since the the old plugin and congrats on getting it officialy into the game, i am hoping this map will also get into the game for this years screamfortress it looks interesting and i would love to play as demon hale, also one question and a small nitpick will you eventualy add custum made kill icons for hale? cuz ive noticed he still uses heavys fist kill icons and i recently saw someone on the workshop who made custum kill icon assets for your mode and they looked very good.

I made an attempt at one point to make a new boss (duo-boss in fact!) but it flopped very hard. Designing a playable boss is much harder than an NPC boss, and for the same reason the existing NPC bosses wouldn't translate well into playable characters.

im still a bit iffy about the name but i havent really got any ideas

The "stock" Underworld looks too barren and empty. I'm currently adding even more stuff because "just a forest" also looks a bit too empty.

Looks good, hope to see it finished soon! Thought if you dont mind me asking, what made you decide on using a forest theme for a hell map?
