You might be right. The only reason there might not be a Ukraine Faction is because of the possible backlash it may rise if Russia does win. Not saying it will, saying IF they win. Also, yes they did not abandon the mod YET, they are still working on improvements and new factions for the mod. And finally, yes. That faction idea is pretty good. Since operation harsh doorstop at first had mainly desert maps, the Saudis against the insurgents for example would most certainly be fun.

Also, a faction idea is the Saudi Armed Forces [SAF].

And guys, don't worry. they did not abandon the mod yet. They are remaking factions and you all will be able to play free Squad when it's done! :D

I think the reason why there is no Ukraine Faction is probably the risk of controversy of who wins in the actual war.

This mod has potential. But it's broken. Some weapons don't work at all and has no textures which is vital. Please update.

First of all, well done. I am Turkish and I will say this about Turkish soldiers. First, the Turkish army does not only use MPT. we use m4 m249 etc. American weapons can also be used instead of Turkish-made weapons and Bora 12 can be used as a sniper rifle. Secondly, in the game soldiers speak Arabic. Yes, there is no Turkish, but if we think realistically, English would be more appropriate because they insult us by saying "kuffars" in Arabic, but we do not say that in the army anyway. I found some huge bugs that were long unfixed. Reloading weapons has to be done twice and won’t register almost every time. Try emptying entire mag and then reload, most likely it will require 2 full reloads before allowing to shoot even with lots of full mags. It happens nearly always and as stealth commando taking down groups of enemies alone, lossy mags is a time consuming obstacle. It happens on all Ukrainian factions guns and on Russians as well. Happens on LoyalGames.EU UKR VDV server. Pretty sure it was persistent on all other factions before.

The visual update of Ukrainian forces is nice.
