yeah even with all mods disabled, only the vanilla DLC, pawns will not auto wear body straps, even if they're naked and freezing and body straps are the only apparel they still won't. Quality and material doesn't help, even legendary fur, nope.

Nope, even with ideologies disabled and making sure that slave straps are allowed in the apparel policy (they are actually allowed by default) I spawned a bunch of body straps in a stockpile and no one will wear them. Guess I can verify it's not a mod conflict somehow by disabling all my mods and trying again

I have tried that, I even switch colonists to the 'slave' policy and they still won't auto wear them. I'll make a test colony and see if it's some ideology thing maybe, thanks for the reply.

slave gears are disabled on the default apparel policy (anything). just tick them on

Is there a way to make pawns just automatically wear this like normal apparel, or do you have to force it for every pawn? I'd like to just treat this as a preferred apparel for an ideology but pawns won't auto wear it, although they are happy once they put it on.

is there any chance the occupied layer could be changed or made into a mod option?
I wanted my pawns to wear something on the skin layer with the corset
from the rustic style above it, but just found out that's not an option

@Антон Ковалёв No idea. If they can wear vanilla body strap without issue, then this should be fine. If the bodies are drawn differently, then it might look weird

@Demonic: It's been a while since I play rimworld (not to mention a RJW run), but not that I know/remember of. The most nsfw are mostly for custom bodies that have legs, since it's easier that way. Maybe you can search "dress" or "swimsuit" or anything along that way.

Thanks, I was also able to change it by using Character Editor but you have to do it to each different item.

In all seriousness, I name it such in-case I make a normal "stylized body straps" later (Which is scrapped now bcs I got busy and lost the idea and motivation). Now it's stuck bcs it's funny.

Always love to see more style clothing, maybe with this I'll actually bother making body straps for some slaves. Normally I give them a collar and slave outfit because the vanilla body strap texture looks goofy.

Weird, the item styles work fine, but only show up as the default body strap when being worn. Any idea what causes that? Mod added midgame if that matters.

FWIW I find the replace operation kinda confusing. It usually makes sense in retrospect , to the point I'd even see why it works that way - but it's never the first thing I try.

Regarding the duplicated node, I can't figured out how to set it as "replace", because my game always throws error that <canBeDesiredForIdeo> didn't exist for these apparels :/

I think the error is harmless unless your save (somehow) has already set slave apparels as desired, but you can also delete the line in the patch's xml for now. It's MiscPatch.xml for Kinky Bodystraps and IdeoCollarPatch.xml for Stylized Collar.

Also @Collector: My mod doesn't add craftable style features.

@Gerrymon I'm getting the same error as ModZero and MeisterV with this and the collars. Looks like the patch operation. I tried to change it to replace but my rw modding knowledge isn't up to it yet :)

Hm, when I load this, I get a red error due to a duplicate node on canBeDesiredForIdeo - and I see this is set in Ideology Apparel_Various.xml, and a patch in this mod (and the Stylized Slave Collars) add that node, rather than replacing it.

On the one hand I feel like this has to be me (because otherwise I'd see someone else complain about it), on the other one, I don't see how this could not happen, and it happens if only this mod is loaded - see log [gist.github.com].

Okay, I just want to say that the Techist style just being bunnysuits has me rolling. I will likely never have a need for this mod but I'm downloading it anyway. Great work.

If you don't have the DLCs it's still somewhat relevant, but Ideology and Biotech cover a lot of the same ground especially combined with Way Better Romance. It's still probably the stronger supporter of HAR races, but IMO it's less critical than it used to be for pawn relationships.

Huh. How is RJW in 1.4 anyway? I haven't used RJW since like, early 1.2 so I've probably missed a lot. I'm *basically* asexual so most of RJW's functions don't do much for me... but I liked how it handled relationships back in the day and it brought a bunch of nice RP mechanics too.

Legitimately curious if it is doing well from like a QA point of view (bugginess, feature density, etc. etc.)

Update:
- Made a higher resolution re-texture for base body strap with appropriate masking for the rings.
- Added tentacles (or vines, whatever floats your boat). It might be the weirdest thing ever and I did it just for the meme, but yeah, remove it with cherry picker if you don't like them.
