I thought Pyro's passive was Immunity to all flames. I just got cooked by 2 pyros with the Dragon's Fury.

Also, I just played this map on a 100 players server during a Shounic stream and it was hella fun. Sad that the map is so open that it was running at 20 fps for most people lol. It was actually one of the few Zombie maps that was surviving the test very well, as the others reached TF2's entity limit very quickly.

Though the only Zombie map that survived the stress test was Murky and Woods. Which is funny because everyone expect those 2 to be the first to die with how many bushes and props they have.

Personally I like it that way because it looks very Cyberpunk and reminds me to that one official Forge remake of The Pit from Halo 3 in Halo Infinite. The one with all the neon pink blocks and lighting.

And you need to pack custom assets too. That's how missing textures and missing models happen.

@Vanilla You need to rebuild cubemaps before compiling the map again https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Cubemaps#HDR . Eric simply forgot about it. Twice to be specific.

I remember a map maker telling me that once your map gets accepted into the game, Valve will ask you to send them the raw editable hammer files instead of the cooked files so that Valve can compile them themselves so that they can make sure nothing is missing when they do it themselves... which makes me wonder how the heck do they always add maps with missing cubemaps or textures into their updates lol.

Do their compiling farms in their office crash just before an update or something?

the coming patch should address those issues, also the missing cubemaps issue is up to valve to fix

Additionally please create additional routes to the roof of the building with a generator inside it. It's really hard for zombies to bypass walls of sentries to get there as there's only one way.

I know, I was just venting about Valve no longer working with modders so that the new game modes they come out with became official in the hammer editor so that anyone could easily make a map with those game modes even if they were just beginners.

Although, to be fair a lot of these projects are open source so I shouldn't really complain about it lol

VScript greatly improves our ability to make custom modes, making edits to the actual game is way more difficult and harder to test. VScript allowed me to rapidly iterate and experiment with stuff without needing to recompile the entire game.

3rd actually. As Crasher came out before the Vscript version of VSH and Zombie Infection. Though to be honest it wouldn't have been even required to use Vscript if Valve contacted modders and worked with them to change their internal code in order to make their modes a reality. Like how Valve was constantly updating TF2 to make the Player Destruction mode a reality, even though at the time it was fairly know that it was directly copying the Head Hunter mode from Halo.

Heck, even the creator of the Player Destruction game mode have said that he was just trying to make a bargain-bin version of HeadHunter in TF2 lol

i really want to like this gamemode but it is way too easy for humans to win with sentries, plus either i am bugged or the game hates me because out of the like 6 rounds i played, i was always a zombie.

You should come test this map on one of the zi servers! Atoll is one of the maps where for 3 sessions that i've played (equaling to around ~20 rounds) humans would be the one to lose to zombies most of the time so im not sure what you mean by engineer being too good (stacking engineers also isnt a good idea as a single zombie engineer can disable your entire defense)

After VSH got added to the summer update, there is honestly gonan be no surprise to me if they somehow add the Zombie Mode into the main game too now, it would be amazing. and it does make me hopeful halloween this year gets just as many maps as the sumemr update did.

from what i've personally experienced, sniper is good in early game where theres fewer zombies or if you decide to play in a spot where zombies come from only one direction, so that tunnel vision doesnt matter
oh and being glued to a dispenser also helps a lot

It looks really fun but may I ask how Sniper plays on the survivors side? Since the zombies are very fast I imagine it may be diifficult to hit headshots with the rifles.
