@NGW: Yes apparently it's a known issue amongst the infantry bridges. Going to look into alternatives.

Amazing map and one issue I found so far is the infantry bridge still allow people walk through despite being destroyed.

From being called out you had to to end one of your posts in a less than gently fashion. Using an abbreviation instead of just writing profanity....stay classy!

@NiXtaDaBz: I certainly don't think my map is perfectly balanced and it's subject to change. I don't think that's the be all end all to have a good time in COH2 though. Anyway, there's no problem... have fun with your pals.

@TheNiggler: As if any harm was done... (to me you were just a random guy trying to create drama here, but whatever). Map creator protects his baby (i would probably do the same), and thinks he has the perfect balance for his map. That's cool, it's his map after all. I just happen to prefer the (lightly) altered version of it, and gonna play it (having fun with my friends). Gonna try Lebensraum now, seems promising =)

I think a lot of players are seeking a perfectly balanced map when not all battlefields are balanced to begin with. Aside from varying capture points, terrain is not always going to be a mirror image. What it comes down to is the fun factor. Also for war spoils, I think altering the popcap removes the war spoils....they are pretty satisfying to get.

@buckers: I don't think anyone cares about a balanced map layout on chokepoint maps. Most people playing such maps do this vs the AI.

@Harvey_Jewface: I like the atmosphere and the map's detail. The only thing that saddens me a bit is the infantry-only bridge that vanishes from time to time. Still working but not being visible (what is not your fault, the object seems to be bugged, happens on all maps). Apart from that it's a map worth playing. Thumbs up! :KSmiley:

whats the obesseion with bridge chokepoint maps, as an experienced player it just makes my head go WTF when you guys think this shit is balenced. Anyway i really like the asthetic look of this map! but i'm sad it's just a chokepointfest:german::ironcross::BalkanCross:

@NiXtaDaBz: It's a bit arrogant to think you're swooping in to 'fix' my hard work. I spent a lot of time creating this. If things get altered in this map, it will be me that does it. Sound fair? If you think things here are imbalanced and need fixing, I'm sure there are plenty of other maps in the workshop that adhere to your idea of 'balanced'. Just go play those.

For those that want higher popcaps: since there are bridge chokepoints, 100 is adequate.

@TheNiggler666: What about you care about your own business ? I usually tweak maps i find on the workshop for my own personal use. I always ask their creators before i release them so that others can enjoy great maps, with some balance adjustments. Would have been perfectly ok if the creator sent me a mp, i would have given him the balanced map, so he can publish it himself. I do not seek anything, and always give credit where and when it is due. GTFO.

To {ISG}ShadowAce: how about playing the map for what it is and enjoying it. The author apparently set it up the way he sought fit. I doubt he needs all these little annoying crtiiques from people that just rape the Steam Workshop for maps. Enjoy it or jog on.
p.s. tacticall advantage for Germans? What are you talking about? Goliath is from Company of Heroes 1, welcome to the sequel.

To DOPOrklord: I tested the map and its great for both player vs player and compstomp! Super fun!

to NiXtaDaBz: How about making your own map? I'm pretty sure it takes about 50-60 hours. Kind of insluting that you can just come along, tweeking someone's map and making your own workshop page with it. Are you seeking notoriety and thought to obtain it by stealing another person's hard work?

And the small bridge at the bottom i would use to for surprise attacks and make sure no infantry get pass with bunkers and mg nest and maybe a tank.

I see this map a tactial advantage for germans because, of the flak 38 and could be place next to both bridges and you could place a goliath and blow up each bridge. Thats how I would somewhat stall them to build a army and hoping they won't launch artillery on the defenvise lines.

It would be nice if you put Fuil on both sides of the River and not just on one and free weapons to pick up also for both teams or non . Nice map but for player vs player not good. For compstomp Fun :)

Hello Harvey, do you mind if i publish a slighty adjusted version of the map ? I would give credits to you, and just add my name for the update. I rebuilt the footbridge connecting to the outer fuel point, added some cover in the form of rock or haystacks where i felt it lacked, made the bridge indestructible, and set popcap to 130 (which i feel is the right number, it sticks with the 100 popcap gameplay, while allowing people to get 1-2 more tanks to play with in the course of a normal game).

Just let me know by adding me on steam, or replying in this map section.

Fantastic map and the atmosphere is outstanding. Love the rain hitting off the ground and the spooky mist lurking on the map. No performance issues here playing at 2560 x 1440p. To those that have performance issues, well its time to upgrade your video card I'd reckon.

Stunning map, and although I appreciate what you tried to do with the rain effects; performance is kill. If the performance issues could be fixed, this map would be playable. Sadly, it's just pretty as it is.

This is a second version. Workshop entry was mistakenly deleted so I re-added the map. This version has an undestroyed infantry bridge that leads to a fuel point. Also added defensive structures to that area that are accompanied by an MG42 and Panzerbuchse to aid in it's defense.
